Africa has abundant, cheap renewable potential - more than any continent - and are responsible for less than 4% of global emissions.
A conference on fossil fuel expansion in Africa in 2024 is evil and absurd.

I remember Uganda in the COP 28 Dubai meeting asking help to 'leave it in the ground'. What are our leaders and financial institutions doing to accomplish this?

Making it worse. They have no desire to cut off easy access to their own wealth by stealing from others and committing crimes in the process. This is modern Gunboat diplomacy with stealth weapons, IMF austerity, and government tax payer subsidy finance for the military and the banks. We've been warned for decades, but we continue to vote for the same people in the same system who hide their ill gotten gains in tax havens.

I asked three council authorities via the FOI (Freedom of Information) act to give me the data and factual evidence to substantiate this alleged climate emergency. Not one of the three were able to show or give me any evidence whatsoever, and they admitted that they don't have any evidence and that they are following the agenda without proof or reason.
