Would LOVE to have a tutorial on face brushes-and any other you’d like to cover. I’m over 50 now, and have retired, so my makeup needs have changed. (I also have naturally hooded eyes, and GRAVITY is claiming eyelid real estate at an ALARMING RATE!) Thank you for this video! Learned a lot! ♥️
A superb video - so concise and precise! Please do a part 2 on facial brushes, I.e., foundation, blush, contour, bronzer, concealer, highlighter. Thank you Gabi; you’re a gem!
Thank heavens for you Gabi. Yes please do another video about brushes . I have lots of brushes and almost never know which ones are the right ones, I just wing it (not the eyeliner lol). Big thumbs up for Part 2. Sending you lots of love xxxxx
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've purchased so many brushes without having any real idea how to use them. Thank you!!! And I would absolutely love to see a Part 2!
Great video Gabi could you do a look for hooded eyes ? Mines are bad and I have tiny eyes so I just don’t do eyeshadow but I have the brushes and all the products 🤦♀️
Thank you for watching beautiful people! If you have any questions, please leave them here and I will get to it as soon as I can. If you want a daily dose of glam-spiration, follow me on instagram because I am very active on that platform: instagram.com/glamgirlgabi/ I also did a video all about HAIR brushes that you can watch here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f9dui0J1yFU.htmlsi=OFiJeq1WdXwJnbCC
Love this! Brush School 101. This is always the hardest part to make my clients understand that most of the time it's all about the brushes! They are so incredibly important!
Brushes are SO IMPORTANT. They really do make a difference in the application and the precision of the look. You cannot do an impressive and beautiful makeup look without key brushes for sure.
I feel like you read my mind! I absolutely appreciate the tips provided on this video. Please, please do a part 2 on brushes. it will help to increase my confidence in venturing out to use the brushes that sit in my bag untouched. Thank you!!
Yes please do a part 2! I really love your straightforward videos. I invested in all the BK beauty brushes during Black Friday and I do not regret my purchase one bit.
@@GlamGirlGabi absolutely they are. Such good quality, so soft, and they wash so easily. I’m a mega fan and I definitely want to buy the makeup brush bag when it comes back in stock.
I would definitely love a video on brushes for the rest of the face. I've had to learn it all on my own because I never had anyone to help me in that area. Than you for this, Gabby.
Thank you for explaining the use of each brush while also demonstrating application. Great job! Would love to see a part 2. Have a blessed day, beautiful girl.
Yes to a face brush sequel!! As always great content Gabi. Your videos are done with such excellence...all the extra things you do, make the difference. ❤️j
Yes, I would love a part 2 video, please. Just this week, I was looking at my eye shadow brushes and wondering which ones to use, for which purchase. This video came at the perfect time! Thank you! ❤
Enlightening ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for making sense of the brushes I already have in “kits” and suggesting even better ones!! PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEAASE!! I would like a part 2 !!!! Thank you!!!!❤
I just found your channel a few days ago. I have learned so much from watching your videos the last few nights while I put my toddlers to bed. THANK YOU for helping this tired mama look forward to getting ready every morning 🙌🏼🫶🏼
OMG, this was so helpful, it always confused me which brushes to use for what purpose. Thank you. And yes, we need another video for face brushes, please...
Thank you! I am practicing ❤. I love the idea of "older lady eyebrow care" video. I am 55 and am learning so much and am feeling more confident in trying different techniques thanks to you! I have hooded/wrinkled upper eyelids and find every technique challenging. I have not yet found a video tutorial for eye shadow techniques for hooded and WRINKLED upper eyelids. The videos I have seen, all the ladies seem to have smooth eyelids with no wrinkles. I would love videos for not only hooded/wrinkled eyeshadow techniques, but would love a video on aged upper eye lid wrinkle treatments/wrinkle reversal care that work (without having an eyelid surgical lift)... miracles, I am asking for miracles 😅. Thank you for being such an inspiration Gabi! I appreciate you! - Tammy (Fort Worth, TX)
For my hooded eyes---with such a small space in the eye area---a tiny crease brush is the best for applying color without schmearing product where I never intended it to be. I find I also need tapered, angled tightlining brushes that don't "stamp" beyond the natural curve of my eyelid. Bristle width is important to consider before purchasing in my case, otherwise all I do is clean up smudges.
This is so funny just about the time you said if you’re feeling overwhelmed, I thought to myself I’m feeling overwhelmed lol I just save your videos and go back and watch them a couple of times to get what I need from it. Thanks so much I’m gonna go order some brushes.
Just saw your video of 4 weeks ago about cutting hair.....now i am watching the makeup brushes video love it!.....Now you got yourself a member.... Keep them coming girlfriend.😍😘
Yay! Thank you! I really appreciate you being here and signing up for membership! It really helps me to continue making content for you. I am really honoured to have you here. If you have questions for me, please don't hesitate to ask.
Brilliant video. I'm 53 and only just starting to get into make up in a really big way and videos like this is so helpful. Please do make a video about face brushes. Thank you
Hi Gabi! Thank you for this much needed video! I would like a video of face makeup brushes very much! It took me ten minutes to type this and my son corrected it. I’m getting there slowly.
Yes I am planning on making it! This video didn't do super super well but I know that a lot of my regular viewers find this kind of content to be super helpful so I will make a Part 2 anyway.
SO stunning...SO informative. I am SO happy to have found you, Gabi. It's the smudge brush for me. Never had one before and it has made a huge change in my eye makeup application...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
This video was getting so long that I didn't want you guys to get bored so I stopped it here. Originally, I was going to go over ALL the brushes in the video but it started getting longer and longer and longer. I will make a part 2! I know that face brushes are confusing too.
I recently did a tutorial on eyeliner featuring some of the Eye Brushes from Rephr - You can check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h900YfIczuA.html
Lisa!!! I am so glad that you enjoyed this video. Your brushes are absolutely amazing and I am going to talk more about them (and about you) in future videos. I had an audio issue in the section where I was talking specifically about you and my editing team had to cut it because we were tight on the video's deadline so I didn't have time to rerecord. I think you're amazing and I am really happy to promote your products.
Awesome eye brush tutorial! Thank you. Now I know why I wasn't able to reproduce your beautiful eye makeup results. LOL. Would love to see a similar tutorial for face/foundation/blush/etc brushes. Thank you!
Yes when I started this video I was going to do all of the brushes but it got SO LONG and I thought people were going to get bored so I split it into two sections.
Can you please make a part 2 video very soon for foundation, blush, bronzer ect.. I'm going brush shopping so for my vacation and I don't want to waste money on the wrong brushes. Thank you so much Gabi❣️
Omg this was such a good class! I was literally taking notes lol. Some really great advice that will definitely be helpful before I start beauty school!! Subscribed and can’t wait for more content like this!!
Your videos are the best best best on You tube, your knowledge and experience is exceptional, I’ve learnt so much from you , it is nice to get compliments again after following and using your recommended instructions and products amazing!! ❤
I learned so much!! Thank you! Would love to see the others you use!!!! I have very hooded eyes can you recommend small brushes? I would appreciate tutorial from you about eyeshadow on mature hooded eyes. 💕💕💕
I have sooo many brushes: BK Beauty, Rephr, Real Techniques, Elf and a few mystery brushes. Lol. One of my favorites is a mystery brush. It is a large, soft brush with a wide blunt end that easily glides across the entire crease to brow area and makes diffusing the shadows a breeze. I know I bought it for cheap at a drug store almost 15 years ago and it is still like new.
Omg those finds are just the best, aren’t they? I LOVE it when I find something that just WORKS. I have some brushes that I love so much that I actually have to tape the base bc it’s falling off the handle. 😂 I didn’t share those because they’re like 20 years old.
@@GlamGirlGabi too funny! Yes, so true! I have learned I prefer some of my cheap brushes over the expensive ones. Like I don’t think you can go wrong with Real Techniques eye brushes. Their crease brush fits perfectly where my eye socket should be (hooded lid gal) and easily recedes that area.
Thank you so much. I have been debating trimming but was scared. Your videos are a game changer for us older girls. It makes me want to do my makeup. @@GlamGirlGabi
@@christinebarnaby7303 That is so wonderful to hear! It makes me so happy to know that they are inspiring you! Have fun with makeup and enjoy the experience of putting it on. It's just one way to give yourself some love.
Thank you Gabi ❤️ for this video. Makeup brushes can be so confusing. I have a set of Sigma brushes, but they are not labeled how to use them. Thanks again and have a great day!
Makeup brushes are totally confusing. I got a whole set of luxury Artis brushes for Christmas and their shape is so weird that I STILL don't know exactly how to use them. You're not alone. I love Sigma brushes so it's awesome that you have a set of these!
I would love to know your favorite shimmers for more mature lids. I make the mistake and buy hyped up palettes or shadows only to never wear them. Not because I’m afraid to wear shimmers but the snake scaly lids aren’t cute on me. I also know people poo poo shimmers and palettes if metallics and glittery shadows aren’t in them. Now I find companies only put them in because of that. I remember that with Viseart certain people complaining about their shimmers. Thank you
This is great help, Gabi! 💕 Your small brushes look great. Some of my long handled brushes are more difficult to use as my close-up vision gets worse with time. BTW - Your thumbnail images are gorgeous! Do you create your thumbnails? If not, who creates them for you? Thx!
I've never been a fan of very long handled brushes. I travel a lot for clients and I find them annoying to carry around because they don't always fit well into my brush pouch. Thank you for the compliment on my thumbnails. I edit all of my own pictures but I have some help now with putting things together because it's just gotten so busy for me to do everything by myself.
This was so helpful! Thank you for all of this useful info. Is there a Sephora large fluffy shadow brush from Sephora that you recommend? We have a local store and I'm trying to avoid paying shipping. Thank you again!
Thank you! Super helpful. I have been just reaching for whatever brush looks ok or sometimes use the same brush for various purposes and my look seems to always be "off" in some way. I wanted to ask if there is a particular eye shape or eye status that isnt suited for using a brush of color under the lower lashes? For some reason, I think it draws my eyes down and makes me look tired?!? I also struggle with the crease area because my brows are very close to it. I have defaulted to not wearing anything on my eyes but mascara with occasional tightlining on upper lid which is ok but a tad plain/boring...
I love brush videos!!! Please do part 2 for face brushes! I have a great collection, and I am still trying to get better at knowing when to use which brush. Especially synthetics vs natural hair. I struggle with aging hooded eyes. And my eyes are small. I’m realizing that some brushes are just too big. I’ve been thinking of getting more from BK Beauty X Angie’s collection and now I’m definitely doing it so I’ll use your links! Im curious about BK Beauty’s new precision line so I may get one to compare with Angie’s. BUT, you forgot one of the most important uses for the spoiler brush!!!! 😮 Gently removing dry mascara!!! 😂😂😂😂 ❤ Also, what Barbie do you have on your shelf? She looks beautiful!! I want to look her up so I can see her close up. 😊 I have a collection that has been packed away way too long. I plan to get something to display them in and do that. Thank you for explaining the uses of the brushes. ❤❤❤
Hey Tonya! I will make a Part 2 for face brushes for sure! You are right that you may be reaching for brushes that are too small for your unique features. You need something that fits properly into the area that you are working on. I need to do a video on mature hooded eyes. This seems to be an issue that a lot of women have and there are lots of tricks for opening them up. A BIG tip is to use lashes. Do you ever do that? I'm so glad you noticed my barbie. She is a GORGEOUS collector bridal barbie that one of my bridal clients bought me and I am absolutely in love with her. I didn't want to remove her from her box but then I just couldn't help myself because she is too fabulous to hide away in a box.
@@GlamGirlGabi all of mine are hidden in their boxes, never opened! I want to put them in a glass display case. Yours is definitely beautiful. I would love the hooded eye video! Yes! I love lashes but I don’t wear them as often as I used to. My energy gets away from me quickly. I love the way a natural false lash looks. I’d love to try the half lash from the BK Beauty X Risa Loves Makeup collab! My favorites were always Au Naturale from House of Lashes. I even have the ones you can wear on the bottom lashes!!! Those are surprisingly good too! ❤️❤️❤️
@@GlamGirlGabi It would be so fun! If I didn’t work full time, I’d do it! I have been watching beauty channels for years!!! I absolutely love all things beauty, fashion and style! 💜
I got it from TEMU actually. I guess I go against the flow...I have almost all of these styles of brushes, but I could do everything with a E27/227-style brush. I especially love to lay it on its side to do the outer V.
You can do A LOT with very few brushes - you're absolutely right. It's a tool that helps but if you're talented, you can execute a lot of looks with very minimal amount of brushes because a lot of it has to do with the product used and the amount of pressure too.
It’s actually better to brush the brow hair DOWN first to fill in the TOP of your brow since this will give you a LIFT and open up your eye instead of filling the bottom and dragging it down.
