Agreed, and I'm sure it's just an oversight because if you're speccd far enough into the tree that you COULD get the perk, it does show whether you have any points in it or not.
I noticed that skill bonuses to skills I didn't have (ie some critical hit 10 stack skill that buffs companions) would actually activate the skill - don't think the Borderlands games did
@@Mr_Hoppykwins not gonna lie that's pretty sweet, allowing you to pick up some bonuses that may not be the focus of a build but welcomed all the same.
Thanks for making this. It's been really frustrating how a lot of things in this game is explained poorly/not explained at all/just straight up lies lol. Appreciate you making this to keep us informed.
I’m sure everyone has figured this out already, but after I do I run, instead of just selling my gear I enchant everything once and make a ton more money. I’m always maxed out on moon orbs anyway (unless I’m rolling for something specific), so why not maximize my cash? Like I said, probably old news, but I just thought of it the other night and figured I’d share just in case.
Best thing to do for cash is to hit the rocket launcher bunny, enchant them all a single time, and sell them off. It's the highest amount of cash you can get per item (Besides cosmetics, which are a pretty good source of cash as well now). I never have money issues in this game any more because of enchanted rockets and cosmetics.
It would probably be helpful to make a video introducing new players to the series to common or returning concepts and mechanics. Crit swapping, how gyrojets/TNT work, spreading out your damage formula, etc.
So, crazy/bugged interaction with the "on spell kill 50% chance for extra shot" If you have two of these spells on hand (one equipped, one unequipped) if you kill an enemy with a spell and trigger the glowing effect you get on the gun, then go into your inventory and swap spells (different spell but same enchant) it somehow stacks. This will then have your gun firing two shots instead of one... 100% of the time. And you can keep rolling this, just get a spell kill and swap the spell. You might have to shoot your weapon to see the extra pellet before swapping the spell, I haven't tested this yet though. I only discovered this on spellshot using dual spell wielding. But the pixies can also trigger this and the pixies will shoot the extra projectiles. This effect stays permanent until you save quit, so moving maps keeps the bug... So yeah, now I got pixies acting like fully automatic shotguns. It's nuts.
I might have accidentally done this this morning taking on dryl chaos 17. I was desperate and kept trying different spells. Lol. Did manage to beat it.
My biggest thing is it doesn’t matter if you “melt” the boss as long as you kill the damn thing, most people see maxed out builds online and complain that they can’t kill the boss because they aren’t melting it, sometimes a boss just takes some time there’s no shame in taking a while to kill the boss
I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WILD ABOUT MY DAMAGE OUTPUT NOT BEING CONSISTENT! The smart armour was on and the few boards I visited just figured it was because people weren't using the enchants properly. Thank you so much for helping figure out what was broken!
@@jacobhenson5608 I wouldn't care if they were visual, or like the missing name in the DLC. But it's the constant random damage fluctuations and loot luck that feels broken that bugs me.
One of the most confusing things to me is still what a companion is when it comes to the Graveborn +damage for each companion skill. A gun can read in the text that it will spawn a pixie COMPANION, yet the pixie will not count as a companion where a Hydra TURRET is a companion. Wtf.
The class mod part was one thing I didnt knew and that makes a HUGE different reason! Buffmeister was my curious of the effect and figured they have different buff by the words effect. Also not trying to be greedy, but I wish for more leveling to get more powered skill.
I know it would be a mess to sort through armor but I really wish they could roll with any skills. Way to combat the bloat is make it where at least loot bunnies only drop armor based on your classes or just in general so I don’t have to use a spellshot x grave armor when I’m a grave x claw.
Every Bufffmeister comes with three buffs, not two. The reason you can't see the third buff is because Gearbox simply doesn't care to fix an EASY-to-fix issue that's been around since BL1, which is they didn't make the item cards big enough to display every line of text on them. So, the third buff works perfectly fine, but it's hidden on the card because it's enchanted. If you ever pick up an any un-enchanted Buffmeisters you will see they all have three buffs. If you have an enchanted Buffmeister, you can still figure out what the third buff is by heading to the target range and start testing. Yeah, oh what fun. Thanks Gearbox, you really do suck for this because you could easily change/re-size the item cards to show every single line of text in every single possible combination of that can occur in the game.
This video is like trying to learn how to do your taxes in Spanish upside down in the middle of a circle stuffed inside a triangle in a fourth dimension in space.
Love these kinds of videos in general. As someone who doesn't get a ton of time to play, getting condensed info like this makes my time in Wonderlands better all around
i found a purple shield with a really interesting enchant, on ward break gain 200% spell critical chance for 5 seconds, which sounds hilarious on spellshot builds. my spell crit chance shot up to 718% lmao when i slapped it on
Moxsy: You should not use this armor - Me: Did I overestimate its' effect? Moxsy: - because it's bugged. Me: Oh. Right. Of course it is. *exasperated sigh*
Super awesome video I already knew some things, but there were a lot of things like the fearnot and whatnot, which i didn't knew Awesome work and a huge thank you, Moxsy❤️❤️❤️
Personal opinion on the companions summoned by guns, they should just scale off companion damage. They need to balance the game to make the legendaries actually worth it because so far a lot of builds I see, most of the kits are purples, which is cool we don't HAVE to use legendaries, that is a cool aspect. But it is such a vast difference that it makes getting a legendary almost pointless since there is no good way to switch out a purple for a legend
I just seen your vid about it lol. Frfr tho it works alot more for the host. Any none host can't use it just like the bandit weapons(what ever they are called this game)
late thanks for the good infos, Moxsy, appreciate it. so now i finally understand a bit more about the scaling by the buffmaster, and that particular armor as well. Kudos
That's kinda lame only certain skills show up for certain classes. Like Clawbringer will never be able to have an armor class mod with "Wrath of Nature" for a Clawbringer Sporewarden combo. Wish they would change that so all classes can get all skills. Seems unfair only Brrzerker gets it wrath of Nature with Sporewarden and no one else.
If you want that information faster, he posted the companion spreadsheet in the description and it will tell you which does which. But generally spelldamage companion benefit from spell critical hit chance/damage and Gun damage companion benefit from gun critical hit chance/damage but also companion critical hit chance.
I was so happy when i finally got my Buffmeister with Frost damage and rerolled it with melee enchantment for my melee build but now that I know the bottom words mean something I looked at mine and it has Pew and Zap. welp time to go back and farm Zomboss again. Thank you so much for making these types of videos to help us understand :) keep them coming
@@ManicallyMetal the idea is to get zomboss as the chamber boss, ice her, suicide on the bonfires in the corners, and rinse and repeat for crystals for the bunny's.
@@ManicallyMetal I've gotten 3 buffmeister from Zomboss but i know its a world drop. I just find it quicker to do it that way instead of going through the chambers
I've noticed that my cursed wit and last gasp wards don't work either. Rather than nerfing my rogue imp I wish they'd fix the stuff that isn't working before worrying about balance.
Imagine if they had a way to see your all up net buffs and damage outputs, rather than making us all freaking guess and relying on people like Moxsy to figure out how it works and what is bugged.
Honestly gonna need you to get out of my head lol, was just thinking last night that moxsy needs to put out a Q and A series cause I have a lot of questions that I don't have answers to haha
Figuring out things for these types of games is already annoying. That Cryo Buffmeister really just annoyed the hell out of me since i've been using it on my Melee Brr-Zerker, but always felt it was really lackluster DMG wise. My Dark magic one always felt stronger, and every buffmeister i've gotten has Pew and Bonk, even ones my spore warden got. After killing the Banshee over and over for several hours for over a week now and not getting a Cryo Wailing Banshee, i think i'm getting PTSD of killing the GraveWard for over several months and not getting desired drops. At this point I think it's the first time ever I just want my money back. DLC was a mini Chaos chamber just to enable more loot i never see. Fml.
Interesting note if you see this. In my experience so far the butt station portals in the chaos chamber will not give you points in skills you don't have actual skill points into (not like your description around 3 min)
Yes technically because the status effect once applied to any enemy debuffs fire damage so if you're targeting say a boss enemy with a fire weapon and someone soaks them it reduces your fire damage while buffing lightning and frost by the same amount, I believe it says 150 percent in game but I've heard its actually 50 percent
@@Rogue328 because 150% is actually correct. It doesn't say additional 150% percent. 100 times 1.50 = 150, being a 50% increase so what the mod displays is actually correct
@@munt368 good thing you must be trash at the game because for is second best next to frost so everyone uses it still, plus there's a handful of viable legendaries that only come in fire and still kick major ass like the skulldugger AR that only comes in fire and x2 I believe. Managed to get mine chaotic with after spellcast increase fire damage by 30% and it melts everything and anything
Are we sure the smart armor isn't just a visual glitch? I know the loot luck jumps all over the place at times but it doesn't actually change anything.
You only get the class mod points for the ones you do not buy if they do not say you must purchase it for it to be active. Any that say that, the points will not matter unless you have at least one point spent in it already.
Great vid, wanted to say the circuitous gyre is underrated and you should look into it, specifically high mag, and *without* the consumes 2 ammo since it shoots faster over each shot, got me to c35 without too special of a build, I just put on what ever gives me +damage
The other day my buddies and I were doing 4 man runs and noticed other items breaking like liquid cooling. Pull the trigger and it makes noise but no bullets get spent. There’s a shield, i forgot which one but it’s also a legendary and it “breaks” too.
I have no idea why you had to reload to prove you had the highthreadcount when it said current effect on the skill. If you mentioned that then did the reloads to prove it, makes sense. But you didn't mention that all you had to do was high light the skill to see if it said current effect on it or not.
the creator forgot to include hydras from spells and dark hydras from the graveborn kill skill on your companion spreadshead. EDIT: Found a spellbook for pixies. It's called (...)-Hydra (...) though.
I would love a vid explaining Sigils - specifically to tell what they actually do. I can never tell if a Sigil is buffing anything on my character, or if the text is just for the modifiers on the Sigil's damage itself. Also can never tell if the Sigil is going to heal my character or not, as it doesn't seem to outright state it in the text and more often than not it doesn't.
I'm pretty sure normal sigils only block incoming projectiles and then you have different versions like healing, one that follows you around and singularity
Isn’t spell blade still the best melee for spellshot though? That explanation was kind of confusing. And do you increase spell dmg or melee dmg to do more dmg with the spell blade?
From what I understood, cuz yea his explanation wasn’t great, is that it deals MELEE damage, and it is treated as such for say skills that activate upon dealing melee damage however this damage is increased by your increases to SPELL damage. At the end it sounded like it may actually increase from both things that increase spell stuff and melee boosts 👍
The buffmeister is one of the reasons, why every Borderlands game lost me in the endgame. I really don't understand, why it is better to use Words like "Bonk" and "Pew!" instead of describe the buffs, what they exactly are doing. And frankly, after i have heard the part about "Fearnot" and "Whatnot" Pistols i'm really pissed off and about to deinstall Wonderlands. Thats like playing a Board Game without knowing the rules or playing Pen & Paper without knowing any of it's mechanics. So dumb, this game could be so much better :(
I've been playing Co Op and after over 100 Chaos Chamber runs, I haven't seen a game above level 10 without someone using a modded weapon/spell that kills everything in about 10 seconds. The endgame is so unbalanced that people have to cheat to win.
There is something to be added, me personally i use a fearnot cryo pistol, the reload will spawn a multi headed hydra, did not see many ppl talk about them maybe because drop is rare, but unique thing is that you can have 6 multi headed hydras spawned, each one of them has 3 heads and shoots 3 times, they also count for faithful thralls, they seem to stay longer than pixies, they also proc blast gasp, imagine the rest.
I have the same Cryo fearnot with 3 hydra head spawn. Really good with the cold snap build for sure. I've found the glacial surge spell is really good now as well
I think the pixies are more viable, because they are on the move while the hydras are static. But you're absolutely right, faithful thralls is not for the pixies, BUT they benefit from other companion bonuses. Didn't try anything different, I just like to use pixies because in the chaos chamber I'm constantly running around killing mobs as fast as possible, but the hydra feriore might be good for some boss-melt builds
@@reinhart6600 I agree. The pixies are really good for mobbing (and even bossing due to a lot of them moving a lot). I will admit though, I think it comes done to what you can get your hands on. Fortunately enough I got a Cryo hydra fearnot. A pixie one would definitely be nice, but the loot bunnies don't always play nice unfortunately
@@jamescristiano1331 Tell me about it :D I'm doing around 10 runs on C35 per day with 10k crystals each run, put everything in the gun bunny but didn't have any luck so far. Also, the pixies scale with spell damage while the hydras take gun damage so I'm using pixies on my deadshot
@@reinhart6600 I'm pretty sure on the spreadsheet for which guns do what, I believe the fearnot will do spell damage regardless of being pixie/hydra. As long as it's got the prefix "fearnot", it's spell damage.
The one thing I'd like to know for the next video is specifically why Cryo is so videly used in builds Like every single build I see uses cryo weapons & spells
Basically because it slows, it’s a dot, more effective against bone and armor most enemies are skeletons or armored makes melee more effective when frozen etc etc the only thing it’s not really good at is shields.
so, I really liked the idea of graveborn and stabbomancer but with the origin trait I had to do either more spell damage or more crit damage and crit rate.
I'm not sure if this is old info in the vid, but I do have a purple class mod that rolls a Double Knot. According to the chart, the only way to get that is in Thousand Cuts. I'll verify that when I get home from work tonight, but I do have one from early game, saving it in my bank for "what if" Edit: Okay I see what I did wrong. My phone didn't show te leftmost column and was labeling the piece Trickster's, which I confirmed I do have. It is purple with Thousand Cuts rolled, and the column I thought was a name was the second class skill. Oops.
I HATE that the armor rolls aren't random. So annoying, boring, and extremely limiting that they have a very limited number of prechosen mods. Sure it would be more grindy to find exactly what you what but that's literally the point of endgame.
Quick question: apart from doing chaos chambers , what is left there to do in End-Game in TTW ? I must say I recently dinged lvl 40 and finished the main story line. I love the game (it works so much better in Split-Screen that BL3 - aka. it doesn't crash on PS5 (my BL3 does crash in split screen on PS5!)), but I find the chaos chambers to be extremely boring ! I've done a few, and I thought I would puke. So now I'm trying to figure out - what else is there to do ? I can do the side quests and finish exploring / unlocking all shrines in Overworld and gathering all the lucky dice, but what else is there to do ? I understand that to unlock the 'raid bosses' etc, you have to do chaos chambers right ? (which I refuse to do, caus it's mind numbingly boring haha). PS> I was really disappointed when I found that there are no 'slot machines' like they used to be in the BL2 and the Bunkers and Badasses expac for BL2 :) I was a huge fan of these. Wasted so many hours with these haha.
