I run T3 solo all the time with a Purple weapon. I can make it work with PaP 2, but I try to get to PaP 3 as soon as I get there. I've found the WEAPON matters more than having it Purple/Orange. I can do better with some Purple PaP 2-3 weapons than some other guns that are Legendary.
What an easy question!! The only thing you need to survive is no weapon and 37 decoys. I'm still trying to figure out how tier 3 zombies are all the same level as Usain bolt, like where in the hell have they been training to sprint that freaking fast? They should have slowed it down some and added more of a horde!!! But what do I know?
Any time I'm in tier 3 I'm constantly running for my life and plating up every 3 seconds from the 2 hits it takes to take down my plates... And every time I start to back off to fight a horde, more spawn right behind me. It's ridiculous

I know when I was a kid I got a big kick out of building up how great my skill was in a video game, and one day you'll get there!! The casual gaming mindset because eventually it's time to grow up!
When camo grinding u don't have to hit the PAP machine, u can go ahead and PAP up and even with the PAP camo it will still give u credit for the kills on the camo u had when u PAPd up
I finished Easter egg to unlock dark aether permanently yesterday and when I went to put stuff on pedestals and kill the mega that comes out everything went fine and I had a juggernaut suit so as mega was spawning I figured fuck it I'll use the jug to take him out, seeing as I'm a solo player, and wanted to kill him quickly but I threw the jug and while waiting for it to drop I turned and just shot the mega a few times and then he just died!!!?? I'm assuming it was just a glitch but made finishing unlocking Dark aether super easy!!!? I was mad it made me waste my jug suit tho but I'll take it!!!? It's crazy I thought it'd be harder to do solo but I was surprised to do the bad signal mission on my 1st try and only went down twice, only cuz if damn orbs and happened to get stuck and hit by orbs and a zombie at same time but really orbs weren't that bad to me as long as I didn't have zombies on me too and as long as u keep plating up as they hit u you'll probably be fine cuz I didn't really kill many of the orbs!? A lot of the orbs hit me but didn't down me cuz I had health and kept plating as much as I could!? And used bathroom area as place to hide behind and put sentrys on top of bathroom to help clear the zombies and occasionally shoot worm!? I had a 3rd sentry but never used it cuz I didn't think about it cuz I was busy making sure I had ammo and staying plated up!! It was easier than I thought tho!? Then doing Easter egg I got SUPER lucky and basically had glitches help me complete the harder parts of it!? Cuz I did the brain rot and dead wire things and killed the special bounty contracts that came up when went through special rifts for those 2 but when I got to dog collar one where u end up in tier 3 for contract to kill Mangler I got contract and was headed to the Mangler but got lil tied up having to kill some zombies but when I was nearly to the Mangler he just died!? Obviously it was that glitch that happens sometimes with the bounties where bounty just dies just as it getting to it!? But it made it wicked easy just had to run to reward rift and grab collar and dipped out of tier 3. Then the last part with the mega basically the same thing happened with mega just dying!? U think I might've shot him a dozen times at most!? I let off a few bursts at him then he suddenly died!? Pissed me off I wasted a jug suit tho but oh well I'll take it to have it completed and have dark aether permanently unlocked!!?
Another RU-vidr made a video about this already, easy way to look at it is that tools set your base damage and Pack-A-Punch is a multiplier of the base damage set by the tool.
You can't do testing when the server is jacked like that... the zombies move so much slower. Wish activision wasn't so damned greedy laying people off to keep profits up.
Hey Doughnuts!!!! At around the 3 minute mark, you melee the PAP to keep your camo to get that challenge done. If you are referring to the challenge to get 300 kills with the gold camo calling card, you can still PAP it normally and it will count. It knows what camo you put on the gun, so the PAP camo does not negate the challenge. I do these challenges all the time and it 100% still completes the challenge.

I’ve done the ‘gold’ camos challenges for all weapons and there were a few which didn’t count towards the calling card after I PaP it. Definitely two of the pistols and a SMG as I had to repeat the 300 kills without PaP to complete the first mastery challenge. There might be more weapons but I smacked that PaP machine every game when I learned that was a thing. Usually the first thing I do in a match now as I’m not repeating 600, 900 or 1,200 kills.
@@MickeyHarp I have not encountered any. I'm done with Borealis for the MW3 guns, and now I'm working on bioluminescence for the MW2 guns. I use the gold camo shine doing the next level. I don't recall any not working.
The ram9 is fantastic. You can run T3 blue tool, pap2 with it. Also the Taq Evolver I believe, once you pap it the ammo goes to 400 with 1000 in reserve.
This was great. Seems like my sweet spot would be about 10, which doesn't exist unto itself so 12 is the goal. 8 looks like to high a skill ceiling needed to pull off for a long duration in the T3 zone. Interesting jumping around the video and looking at how the '8's and '12's compare. as it seems the graph is off. Leg 12 vs Unc 12 seems diff. IDK exactly how stringent the source was with that crossbow testing, but it's interesting, and clearly a good rough guide. Feels almost like Common is more of a 0.9 maybe, and either the green is closer to 1, maybe 1.33, and/or the pap3 rate isn't to the power of 8 but rather 7. Maybe I'll run that test too. Helpful hint for anyone just starting to play in zone 3. The ram 9 (the smg) at purple and pap 2 is a work horse that will keep you in the fight. Most of the time, i only pap3 it cause nothing else to spend ess on and its just a great zone 3 gun you move quick (hands still best) and its strong i suggest putting overpressure rounds on it for extra damage but at purple pap2 you can destroy megas so great gun to use while learning zone 3 and remember a bunch of guns are trash in zone 3 even at ledg pap3 they are horrible so meta is best for zone 3. I run solo all the time and the ram 9 is my go to and so far only a cpl of guns even come close
If you go into tier 3 without punch 3 and legendary aether, and all perks, you’re definitely rolling the dice. Fact. Disciples. Megas. Hordes. Etc. Doesn’t matter how good you are. You get caught or stuck once or make a mistake and then you’re down.
You are overcomplicating this. Every level doubles the weapon damage, and PAP changes the weapon and adds ammo. So PAP1 on a t3 tool is the same as PAP3 with a t1 tool. You total up how many times the damage was doubled, and ask if it was ever packed.
I got into mw3 late season 3 was in full swing but my question is it still possible to unlock all schematic I’m trying I’ve made it to act 3 episode 4 and still grinding
Yesterday, me and another guy had pack a punch tier 2 weapons. We were able to draw a abomination from tier 3 and killed it. Took forever though but it can be done.
See it’s ridiculous how many epic tools you find in 3 I rarely get em I have a ton of rare ones and every once in a while get an epic which I end up using never get legendary tools I usually buy from mystery box and pap
i joined a team that had overran tier 3 and i thought that one of them was exfiling but i was wrong 10 seconds later i was dragged into the new dark aether with only a pap level 2 gun and gold aether tool if there wasn't 5 friendly dogs i was gonna be done for i managed to get the deadwire detonators and the sargent's beret it was a elder dark aether so it had tier 5 zombies. the ACV is kinda impossible in the new dark aether we failed it but i managed to get 2 out of 3 schematics i am only missing the golden gas mask
I like to go into T3 with as much as I can. But frankly I find I can complete more contracts faster just doing T2 and get decent loot. Got a legendary tool yesterday from T2 deliver cargo. I just really want some CONTENT!!! And it would be nice for all the MW2 weapon camos to track! Not sure why but none of the MW2 pistol camos are tracking for the Spinal Husk camo (300 kills w/PAP weapon). I'm at 48 done now and have to find some other guns to do the challenges to get to the next camo. Lame. Thanks for putting in the time on this D!

not that it matters much - considering the rewards you get for grinding T3 are rubbish... a green tool and self rev? a blue tool for a Mega? what about HVT? purple crystal and blue tool... the loot is garbage
Was gonna say, a blue Pap II was good enough to be able to survive in T3. You won't be able to take the HVTs down (unless you're near an ammo cache), and want to spend 10+ minutes pumping it full of rounds until it dies, or you have a turret circuit and they're near a turret, then you can just worry about the zombies and let the turret eat the HVT up. I found that out by reviving someone that asked to be revived and they were in T3. Which, i've noticed, the amount of revive requests has gone down lately. About a month or so ago, I was reviving people every game. Now, maybe 1 in 5 will have someone that's down pleading for help... Guess everyone has gotten better, or adjusted to the game.
The in-game chat seems to have dried up recently. It was way better less than literally a couple weeks ago when everyone was talking, whether it was for a drop or asking to be revived.
@@calumrfc90 that’s true. I remember last years mw2, the release was fun everyone running wild screaming talk shit. Then season 1-2 dropped and it was full of campers no one moving and chat fairly quiet
I think it’s down to weapons also as no matter what tool and PAP crystal you put on them they are just garbage , for instance the Haymaker with conversion kit the zombies just feel like bullets sponges in tier 3 , but you could go to Tier 3 with a pistol and Eather blade and be fine
Coz all I have is rare or epic tools (can never seem to get any legendary in rewards or searching while in tier 3) I normally run those with pap 2 lol... sometimes I'll pap 3 to help mostly with Megas and bosses but yeah lol...
Whenever I have a catastrophic failure and loose all me gear, I go into the next match with a karimbit, decoys, shroud and stamina can and just run straight into red zone on a suicide mission.
You can totally hit the PaP while Dokkaebi is there... just take a crane up, jump/parachute directly onto the glass above PaP machine, break glass, and enjoy your sneakiness. Then, run and jump off the nearest ledge or hole you can find. That's it! 🤑
I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure they've covered the bottom opening part of the cranes next to Dokkaebi. That and being able to parachute straight onto the side of the crane going up.
Funny you done an Eather tool video as my PS5 game lagged me out with faulty application , I had 3 legendary tools , 2 pap 3 crystals , juggernaut , Eather blade , so fed up of this happening
This is such good info for new players. I’ve been playing COD since World at War but never got into zombies. Fun for a few games but got too repetitive and then in later games it was just too complex to start. PaP and rarity wasn’t familiar to me at all but that damage table was perfect to get my head around improving output.
Great instructional video! Keep it up. The community needs this. This game is strategy game. It’s not the zombies we’re used to. We have to crawl before we run. At the same time we can’t predict a crash!! We still lose not only our items but also your back to crawling. lol
