I like your channel way better than vacuum wars! I feel like the problem with servicing vacuums, is that if you can't do it yourself, you might as well buy a new vacuum. Labor costs are through the roof these days.
I purchased the Shark Rocket and returned it because I have a very bad back and the motor being at the top of the vacuum was too heavy for me and also it won't stand up on its own. You have to lean it against a wall or furniture if you stop vacuuming for a moment. It wasn't good for may back being too tippy and hard for me to handle. Great video and reviews!
LOVE it!!! I loved the vidoography skills, the scenes, the transitions, the couple of funny or wierd clips you added, and the narrator did fantastic also. I can see you guys blowing up. Do you have other channels too? I hope so Im going to go look. Are you guys friends? Co-workers, father and son? I can tell. The hue of the shots looked like Miami but I doubt it is. Fantastic job guys. Would love to hear more about how you guys started and plans for the future. Who does the script, the editing, did one of you go to film school at UM or something.
Appreciate the comment. My other channel is revmatchtv Ryan is cultureclashh and ryanmitchelbrown We are friends and biz partners. I write and shoot everything, and I have an editor for most of the videos, but I edit sometimes too. No one has been to film school. Just years of grinding away on other channels.
This is very helpful because I am shopping for a new vacuum and have been looking for a canister one. I don't like the dust and everything else flying around when I pour out what I've vacuumed. 😊
good vid.. one thing i wish you would have touched on a little more is which one is best for shag carpet, low carpets and wood floors. maybe you have it in another vid.. i just don't have time to go watch all your vids..lol.. thanks for the info!
I appreciate your video a lot. I live in Vietnam, and the market does not have a lot of vacuum brands (just dyson, xiaomi and other Chinese brands). All the reviewing videos seem more like advertisements, not helpful at all. Yours definitely make me get the hang of important vacuum components and aspects that I need to notice before buying a vacuum since I want it to be a long-term investment. Thank you for your great work!
I am looking to replace a 10 year old Shark Lift-Away Deluxe. It still runs great, but I have so much duct tape on the hose part because it’s just old and breaking open. The tape then causes jams because the tape attracts the dirt and eventually it’s a whole clog. There’s actually tape on a lot of parts! But I clean the filters, and the motor keeps going. We have cats, large area rugs and some hard wood. I want a corded upright with lots of attachments. I compost the dirt. I just like your channel and hope to decide by watching more videos.
wow im literally in the same position-- duct tape on my shark lift away vacuum hose and have had it for at least 8 years but now need something goo and new.
A lot of vacuum brands that , don’t support right to repair like shark they’re hard to fix. Can you recommend any brands that are easy to fix and get parts replaced?
I had a Shark plug in upright for about 10 years. Worked great, definitely got my money's worth out of it. It was time to replace it, because it was not repairable and was starting to show signs of wear. Considered battery stick vacuums. The ones that performed well enough to consider using as a whole -house vacuum were $700+. Ended up with a Miele C3 instead. Yes, i have to plug it in and replace bags and pull around a canister... But it has incredible suction, i know it's actually cleaning stuff out of the carpet. It also doesn't release anything into the air. And, it'll last forever. It can be repaired if anything does actually break. Less broken trash in the landfills, i hope.
I have to say, I love my Miele. It is a C3, too. They are fairly expensive, but after owning one, I cannot get myself into any other vacuum. I have owned vacuums that cost way more and vacuums that cost way less, as I do collect them and work on them. If I could only have one machine, it would be a Miele C3. No, it isn't absolutely perfect, but it is close. I wish they were less expensive to buy and maintain, but quality doesn’t come cheap. Half of the things that make me love it so much are the ergonomic features that make it so easy to use. I don’t have to bend over and mess with pigtails to change heads, attachments, adjust settings, etc like I did with my other canisters. The other things I love - build quality, carpet and hard floor performance, filtration, and it is quiet (for a vacuum). It is also my favorite machine to use when I detail cars for my customers, which I do on the side. I have learned that if someone just wants pure cleaning power, they can get by with a $300 machine. However, if they want better quality, something hygienic, etc, spending more is usually necessary. There are some exceptions, but not many.
i have both v11 and the 20v black decker and I agree with everything you say but on top of that the dyson warranty is garbage, ours had issues with the canister and they delayed and didn't help us. Black and decker on the other hand has amazing support, we had problem with the roller slipping and black and decker sends you the replacement fast. They have a real 2 year warranty.
what vacuum is best for people with allergies who live in apartments with cats, carpeted rooms and an uncarpeted kitchen? How about comparing high end vacuums like Kirby and Rainbow to Kenmore and Shark models. If you need to change from a high end to a less pricey vacuum, what are the best choices? Thanks for helping me figure this out after my 30 year old Kirby just died….
I haven't tested commercial vacuums. There's a limited audience for them because they lack the features most consumers seem to want. It's a great idea, so maybe for a future video.
Managed to get a 2-year-old Riccar RAD.1 with new attachments for $250. The store that sold it also offered 5 "tune-ups" and an extended 2-year warranty; sources and salesman seem to claim the belt is "lifetime". Got it when our old, cheap one of 7 years started coughing and smelling while we're combating fleas as first time home buyer.
Everyone always recommend more expensive vacuums. I often got vacuums that are between cheap and average cost. Also whatever is on sale and if good reviews. We have an upright vacuum to use alot. But we got stick vacuum for vacuuming under bed and quick pick up. Recently got a handheld one I use for my bed and furniture cause it tends to get fuzzy and easier to use as attachments on the stock vaccum and upright feel awkward.
I tried the LG and after about 6 months things started to break. My daughter got the Shark and after a few months regrets it. I said the hell with it and spent the $750 (actually got 40% off from BB&B as they closed) on the V15 and holy crap does that thing work. I have throw rugs, tile, and wood floors. Oh, and a Shiba. (Shiba owners will get the ref). You get what you pay for but shop sales. Single? Get real 😂😂😂
I bought a Sirena bc of really bad and severe allergies. Please do not buy it unless you're ok w bulky stuff. It's a great idea and definitely comes w enough attachemnts but not pracrical for most busy and lazy cleaners. It made me depressed, bc after hours and hours of research I thought I found something that would be a long term investment, but I really made a ad choice. This video was great. Features that attracted me to the serena was the water dust lock and hepa combination to prevent any dust returning back to the environment. Later found out allergies could've been further aggravated by construction debris in the basement left behind by contractor, unknownst to us. There were definitely environmental factors we didn't know that caused health aggravation and didnt need a Sirena. Some of the products you mentioned here are great choices and I look forward to considering them for my goto daily use choices. Thank you!
No... I spent close to $1800 dollars (todays value) in 1998 for a Rexair Rainbow E series vacuum that is still holding up just fine today and runs like it is brand new. It never needed any maintenance and outcleaned any other vacuum on the market. It is still in use but due to it being extremely heavy it is only used on the first floor of the home.
@@emoo2342 I signed up for a demo of their newest "SRX" system, although costing an absurd $2900 it cleans well and is still built in the usa and seemed pretty sturdy. Due to the ridiculous pricing I decided to purchase a refurbished "SRX" for $1900 from my retailer and it functions nearly identical to the one from 1998.
@@vacuumnerds I know but you can try out a dual voltage vacuum. :-) Is there such a thing? If it works at 110 it will work at 220 (if it supports 220). Thanks for replying
I've enjoyed your videos. It's so complicated to buy a good vacuum today and also because they are too wide as Americans have scaled down on their space since life is too expensive.
Love your channel, guys! I have a question, or just need some expert opinion about wet/dry vacuums. I'm torn between buying a BISSELL Crosswave Hydrosteam (corded with steaming) or a Tineco S7 Pro (cordless with steaming) for my needs. Both seem reliable, but I'm concerned about durability since I can't access warranty service in Brazil. Any experiences or advice? Thank you.
I wish I could help you, but we don't perform long term testing. They both have 2 year warranty. I would check some forums too see people's experiences.
I live in Miami Beach under my under mounds of send with a combination of tile and wall-to-wall carpeting. I have, Use, And love my Kenmore elete As well as a kenmore canister vacuum. I also house with 2 cats and herds of Cuban people so in addition to the upright and the canister vacuums we also have 2 kenmore carpet cleaners one canmore spot shot or whatever the hell it's called and yes there is a theme here 2 upright kenmore stick Vacuums and one stupid can more stick back
Do a Costco vacuum test. If the vacuum durability is trash, you can return them whenever for a 100% refund. Not many reviewers rate durability and part replace-ability, which is huge. Costco helps that a bit
And also think about battery replacement which on my jashen is £60. And I wouldn't buy another Jashen. Its battery spring broke just falling. I have a shark.
@Vacuumnerds , help!! I'm looking for the best lightweight cordless vac that has an easily swappable battery pack. I work as a house cleaner and portability is key but not every home has accessible outlets and obviously on a full day of cleaning, a 40 min Dyson battery life won't cut it. Nobody is making content about my needs... Please, do you have any recommendations?? 🙏❤
Dyson V11 has a swappable battery pack. Shark Stratos Cordless does too, but I think the Dyson ecosystem is bigger and easier to find parts. For commercial cleaning, I don't know how long any consumer vacuum will last though.
It looks like 10 other knock off brands all made in the same factory, but way more expensive. There's nothing wrong with a vacuum like this at around $80-130. At nearly $400, this is not a good purchase.
I had a Dyson vacuum the battery life on it was junk. On max suction, it will only run for about a minute. On regular mode, I can get maybe ten minutes out of it. And that was basically out of the box. Maybe a few weeks after purchase. That's what I really noticed. How bad it really was. Regardless the vacuum itself was phenomenal, the battery life garbage.
Hi, im new to your channel and like how you go more into the up keep of vacuums. I have a question im looking for a cordless vacuum for a smaller apartment but, dont know what kind i should get cause my floors are wood but, i have a couple 2in shag area rugs. Could you point me in the rite direction looking to spend around $200? Thanks in advance..
At around $200ish the Shark IX141 is worth looking at. amzn.to/3RB9lzV All Sharks have good HEPA filtration. It will run around 40 minutes. No cordless vacs do a good job shag really, but they'll maintain it a bit. They don't have the power of an upright. The Kenmore 81214 200 amzn.to/3RB9lzV is a great canister in your price range. They last forever.
@@vacuumnerdsif an “affordable” vacuum breaks quickly and must be replaced then it stops being affordable. The vacuums you are recommending are essentially disposable.
I have hardwood floors in the common areas with a large area rug and carpet in the bedroom. My dog sheds like you wouldn’t believe so I want something that’s going to get all that hair up and also something that’s cordless that I can use for my car on the occasion she rides in the car
I'd just get a separate car vacuum, and maybe something like the Kenmore 600 series for your home amzn.to/49LaiMv I just did a video on the Kenmore ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t7RdDFkHz_s.html
