We were at a car show near Jim’s place so we decided to pop in unannounced. He had the Oldsmobile outside ready to head to the car show so we just caught him in time 😎

it was great to see you and you wife stop by jims and help him get the hubcaps on. i watched when you rebuilt all the floors and rockers on the 57 olds for jim. that was awesome and it got jims build jump started. jim is doing great on his patina restoration !! thanks for all you two do for jim. 👍👍😁😁

Im not going to lie, that car is tastefully badass, and your style of work with what you have made me want to hot rod it around. A style you can copy. Very much your own and very authentic. Loved those old 49-52 Ford trucks. I drove an F-5 with a grain box hauling wheat to the grain elevator in Town of Dauphin Manitoba. The sound of the engine and the transmission brought back memories from the early sixties. Thanks for the video Chad & Jolene.🙂

The voltage would jump around because a ripple voltage is created by the alternator. The multimeter sample rate is at a different frequency, so each sample takes place at a different position in the ripple cycle resulting in any value between the trough and peak of the ripple. Just because the value on the multimeter drift does not mean circuit is acting erratic.

Had a Full-size Bronco back in the day…. Clutch was shot but couldn’t afford to fix it for a couple of weeks… made sure when I parked no one in front… started it in gear and the rest of the way to work shifted with no clutch.. a bit of fun…

I agree I would drill a hole to fasten the hub cap down so it can't come off unless it had to be unscrew off. I lost a few hub caps on one of my old car's and had a brand new set stolen off my car. Make them work for it the next time and stamp my initial on them. The Oldsmobile looks even better out side👍🏽

FYI --- If you think you may reuse Carburetor Gaskets spray them with non stick cooking spray like PAM... They seal properly but will just come free, not stick, when carb is taken apart.

you sit down to put that hubcap on start the bottom hold it with your feet tham tap the top in! You gotta make sure it on tight!

Reminds me of my late uncle's fifties-era Oldsmobile that's ingrained in my mind as a childhood memory. Still remember the noises that fascinated me at the time as metal parts contracted as it cooled down after a drive.
