21:33 "I obviously need the income. I'm happy to share it all with you guys." So generous! 😄 Good value on the castors! The rubber has perished and fallen off the castors under my ~70s workbench, but I have no intention of upending it to replace them 😅 I'm pretty sure they're the screw-on type.

Strong clever design on the Caroma. I wouldn't be surprised to walk into Ikea and see one just like it

Nice lot of brass. We used to have one of those Caroma seats, an orange one from memory. 👍

Thanks Alex! They must have made lots of them as they turn up fairly regularly! Orange ones are less common!

Those aren't missing a caster... those are from a range of early collectable tripod furniture 🙂

Of course Martin, I should have realised! I think they also suit the experimental one & two legged furniture that strangely never did well in the marketplace! 😉

So I’m not the only one with a bucket of Castors, 😳, definitely Anodes, and yes I feel you do need to explain why we keep things, only so I can tell the missus, keep on going Chris .
@TheUltimateRecycler

Haha, thanks Ian! I'll try and come up with an explanation that both our missus will believe! 😉🤣

Thanks Chris, it's remarkable how quickly the values mount up, I've got a load of old castors somewhere, if only I had a shop ! The stool is kinda cool, it's a shame it's heat damaged, I wonder if it would be more stable if you reversed the top and bottom cones ?

Good idea with the stool Andy - I did try it the other way and it was about the same! Thanks mate 👍😊

The "copper conduit" is M.I.M.S cable or Mineral Insulated Metal Sheathed. Better known as Pyro. As you mentioned it has a good fire rating as there is no plastic involved. Often used in fuel depots and similar places. Not cheap, and you need special tools to terminate it. A pin hole allowing moisture into the insulating powder can result in a big bang.
@stephenw2992
@stephenw2992 7 месяцев назад
They also used it for floor heating cast into concrete slabs.
@johnsimpson8263
@johnsimpson8263 7 месяцев назад
@@stephenw2992 True, same sort of construction, just with a single inner core of higher resistance wire. Nichrome? not sure, never installed the heating version.

Thanks for the info John & Stephen! Yeah, I imagine it would be very expensive!

Nice one mate. Hey Chris, could you explain to us the difference in the metal categories? Like Irony brass, Candy copper etc. I know you’ve mentioned it before but you’ve got a lot more subscribers now. Thanks mate.
