Part 2 of my $70 storage unit purchase.... Opening suitcases & bags, what will we find? Follow me on Instagram @paperandmoose Shop on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/PaperAndMoose #auctionfinds #storagewars #unboxing
I haven't finished watching today's video yet but I hope you buy some of your favorite tea, and a few baked goods and take a few days off to enjoy your stuff!!!
Am I missing something, I never saw you open the brown cardboard box that was in front of you on both videos. What was in there? Did anyone else see her open that box in the videos?
@@sharonhernandez2039 It was one of those at home dental kits for straightening teeth. The bags inside had the locker owner's name on each bag, so everything would have had to been blurred out, so it was not included.
I love the storage unit videos. I think you have an easy $500 plus profit on this unit. Would love to see a recap of what you actually found in money, jewelry, and other valuables, when you get to take a closer look at everything. 👍👍
Some of the clothes that you said you were going to donate, might be good sellers if there was a Nike golf shirt. You should go through them better and make sure. Or possibly they would sell at the flea market. Just a thought.
Part 2 did not disappoint. Bags of bags reminded me of our favorite trash bag house even though those were plastic bags of plastic bags. I miss the trash from that house!
Oh the little plastic bags, what memories... I do miss that house. I still drive by and hope that somehow the trash bags will resurface but it looks like they are done.
I thought same..... Lots of bags/purses/wallets are normal, however, all of them were still filled up even the wallets with credit cards. I change out my purses/wallets all the time, never leave so much stuff in the ones Im putting back in the closet. Hope she lets us know if the info in them had the same name.
If possible let us know how much you were able to make from the locker, do think you will make a very nice profit. Check the pockets of everything before you donate!!! This was fun
That’s a good idea. You can make a video of it. What it cost which I think you said $70 and then what items sold and how much they sold for just for this locker. Also were the names on the purses all different? If you find evidence of a crime, are you going to report it? Fun to think of all the stories and scenarios!
Hi Renee, I think you will make more money from the purses than you will from the baseball gear. Sell them on EBay though, not the flea market. Everybody keeps talking about the purses “might be stolen” and I’m not saying they’re not but ... when I change purses I leave everything that has expired or is no longer viable in there (including jewelry I don’t wear anymore and loose change). I know that that’s kind of lazy but I think of it as a time capsule that will be opened in the future - memories, jewelry and money. 😄🤩😜
I have a feeling the purses and phones might have been stolen. Most people don't have cards in all their purses. They move their stuff when they change purses. Just a thought😊
I really like your honesty about opening off camera first and your explanation of recovering someone else's abandoned property. Not every presenter does that .
I know purchasing a storage unit can be a hit or miss thing, but I'm glad you did it. In a sense, it's fascinating to see what people leave behind. And of course, not knowing why. Thank you.
Success doesn’t happen without risk & intentional work. Play out ‘worse case scenario’ - can you accept worse case, then go for it! Too many come to the end of their life with regrets and not discovering new talents/gifts. Good for you. Pay to learn within your limitations and be adventurous!!
I bought recently two full closets on bidding websites it was kind of like a online estate sale and you need to pick up everything from the closet and it was probably like 10 purses and lady's stuff inside which this looks like maybe person was buying stuff on estate sales or on auctions and that's why it's so many and still stuff inside.
I have purses in my house full of receipts and paperwork and lord with each new phone the old phone ends up in a drawer. With that said...if I were to put stuff in storage it would be packed just that way.
a return on your goods depends on how fast you or how much you want. fast return is cheap sales. maximum return is patients in waiting for it. my experience in cleaning out apartments is ALWAYS check jacket and coat pockets especially inside pockets. i have found $20 and $100 bills in them. the same with saved christmas, birthday and other cards. $5,$10, $20 bills. remember that even small cheap jewelry, perfume, and trinkets sell in a flea market or yard sale. whether .25, .50, $1.00, it all adds up. tools of most any kind will sell at the right price. my mother spent 15 years with a flea market booth after she retired early. she sold books and different colored glass ware and nik naks. little things and clothing, shoes, purses, anything if it was in good enough shape someone would want it. yard sales are a good way to make a little money on the stuff that takes time in a flea market. plan a yard sale every other month or three. build an inventory and set it out on a weekend. good luck.
Please check out each piece of jewelry too. With all the expensive items there, maybe the jewelry is also gold or silver. Check also all the credit cards and if they are all different names, then don’t give them to the unit mgr. perhaps the police or you could cut them up. If a thief, he/she should not get those credit cards back...just saying.
It certainly seems strange that so much is brand new. And so many purses filled with paper work. Check the names and see if they are all the same name.
I've seen urns with ashes in them, a motorcycle, a car in units that have gone to auction. Sometimes there is good stuff, most of the time junk. After the tenant has spent rent and late fees they end up figuring they've spent more than the stuff is worth then abandon it and let it go up for sale. The lights are on timers so people don't leave them on. Those purses look in mostly great condition. Maybe the person worked retail and used their employee discount and spent her money on purses. Thieves usually ditch the purse after they've taken what they want. I had my wallet stolen from a hotel in Orlando, a few weeks later the mailman delivered it to my house. It still had my ID. Whoever took it dumped it in the mail box outside the hotel.
Wowwww that's strange! Baseball stuff together with purses? Hummmm I wonder???? Anyway renee I think you got more than $70 dollars. Those are real coaches bags. The Rosetti bag is not cheap because I've seen them at Marshalls and also not cheap. Good job I think this storage was good. 🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 you take care and have a great weekend. MILAGROS MOGRO FROM FL.
How is it strange... It was obviously a couple who lived together lol. Or a huge guy who shopped with a purse on... Bec those purses were obviously used in public. 99.9999 percent a couple lol!
Fun fact: Panera Bread started as St. Louis Bread Company. It was local to St. Louis until a company bought the rights and started Panera Bread. Slowly there are less St. Louis Bread signs and are changing to Panera.
...Hi Renee!! 😊 ....How good for you!! ... you might want to put a few of the purses online rather than the Flea and give them away! Taco Stacks will help with the jacket, jersey's and equipment...you did GOOD!! I like the black, red & white glove... thanks for sharing! 🥰
Great stuff! You can check out the IDs in the wallets and purses. Something does seem to be amiss. All the kids video games but no kids clothes. (Or did I miss that part?)
I am 52 and play video games, have many stuffed animals and a lot of filled purses lying around my house...I feel like this scenario sounds familiar!!!! Hhmmmm
The two "M's"...moths and MONEY....in them thar purses! Make designer "grab & go" kits for those disaster preppers! Taco Stacks should help you on the value of the sports jackets...look new and well made. The purses and clothing all look new and of "upper class" quality, but I'm no expert in matters of clothing. Your haul is so clean and well taken care of by the original owner.
I wish I could find a woman like you to to this with. I know alot of antiques , glass, bronze , and would help you carry the heavy things, love your videos sweety, God Bless 🙏
The person that left ALL OF THAT STUFF had some EXPENSIVE TASTE!!!! But what was it with ALL of those Cell Phones?! Makes you wonder!!!! Also, the Coach Bags are really nice, and even though I didn't get a good look, I think the rings are REAL GOLD!!!!
The cell phones....each one looked older than the one before. Like a person who gets a new phone and just keeps the old one. There were only three. The rings looked like costume, rough, and cheap. Some pretty purses and baseball gear!
Hi That OGIO backpack at 12:53 is a score! It's probably worth $100 new. The duffel might be OGIO too. Check it out. All those bags are embossed to have the Bread place logo on them Panera Bread isn't the brand of the bags. .. But that BackPack is a great branded backpack! OGIO is a fantastic brand. It's hard to tell which backpack it is but most of their stuff is amazing.
I like you are not that hyper as some of the other storage hunters. And showing some of you doubts too. Nice. (Cheers, From the European side of the pond).
Wow those Jacket/jersey's if Authentic they are worth 100-400$. Wow that is a lot of bags. Nice find. What do you do with any ID or documents that may be important to them to you return them to the owner? Thanks for sharing.
The jackets are worth A LOT! And the phones are all sellable as is on eBay. Those bags are mostly worth a substantial amount on eBay as well. Sports stuff too. I think if you sold everything online, you could rake in around $2500.00.
I have to chuckle at all of the purses! Here I am only owning 2! I use mine until they wear out but only like to buy leather ones so they last a long time. You had a great selection in that unit! Way to go Renee!
