What do you usually work on? Have you ever had any complaints using chemicals like paints/coats or making noise by grinding/sawing?

Hey Blessedness 101! I'm glad you found this video helpful! Yeah I think a lot of the people who get into furniture flipping usually already have space to work in, but you can definitely still run a business if you don't have work space. As this video shows, it just takes a little more effort. As for your specific situation, I would definitely use your back garden shed for now. You'll save more money and be able to hop back and forth from home more conveniently. If you go ahead and rent your storage space the added cost will make it more difficult to make mistakes while you learn to furniture flip. Right now you don't need added stress! You just need time to practice your craft and learn what works in your market! In terms of sound, the loudest thing you'll be using is a vacuum and power sander, but those things are not terribly noisy. Also, you'll be spending the majority of your time painting, which is a mostly silent activity. If you're really worried about the noise you could politely ask your closest neighbors ahead of time if they'd be bothered by you working some out of your shed. I'd bet none of them would have any issues once they got to know you 🙂 Do you have electricity in your shed??

@@furnitureflippingentrepren1161 obviously now that you mention it , make more sense to paint at home ! I have been painting furniture for a hot minute so trust me I know my way around a dresser lol 😜 As for the neighbor I am sure they will understand. I plan on upgrading to a compressor +spray gun because I can flip quicker ( numbers game) but as per my research even the so called "silent compressors make a fair bit of noise 85 decibels. Basically as loud as a big sander! Hopefully it will be okay. Thank for the wise words.

@@skrefurbishedinteriors Nice! I've seen other flippers use spray guns. I haven't looked into them for my business yet, but they seem like they'd be a huge time saver! You should post a video on how to use one if you upgrade!

Sounds like a solid plan! I'm doing the exact same thing, buying what I need now to get started and as money comes in I invest in tools that improve my quality and efficiency.

What keeps me going is knowing that every drop of sweat I spend is an investment in my own cause, my own vision, and not to another employer or man who couldn't care less about me. I hope you stick with it! Once some money starts coming in you can relax a little and start having fun with the refurbishing.

Hey Sebastian, when I was calling around I'd straight up ask if I could do work in any of their units. I didn't want to be sneaking around or get kicked out down the road. Some storage places have strict no work policies but others are more flexible. Local storage unit providers with drive up access are good places to start asking.
