They definitely can be hah! Thanks for the tip, I’ll try and implement it when I’m next out. Never thought of that before and certainly wouldn’t want to be done in a work vehicle hah!

On the grocery home delivery page, for customers. It says (regarding the order) four stages. Placed-Prepared-On the Way-Delivered. I noticed when it changes to On the Way it also says in the box below: Driver has arrived. What, driver has arrived, sounds like they are at your address. Apparently it doesn't mean this. Must mean, driver has arrived at work and logged on?

Im starting my induction on tuesday 9am, pretty excited to be honest, great video keep it up - do habe a question though, are the baskets sorted in order? 😂 Or does buddy drives teach you this?
@JackDelivers
@JackDelivers Год назад
So, I don't know how ever store does it but usually labled 'BACK MIDDLE FRONT', the backs go at the back, middles go in the middle, front go at the front and each one as a number for the order they go in - I do mine like a snake so it's 1 2 3 4 (next row: 5 above 4, 6 to the left of 5, 7, 8 etc). Similar for your chilled and frozen but you will learn it on your buddy runs! You will also quickly discover that you get 'XTRA' labelled totes with no number or order so you need to manually order it based on the number or 'OVER' which means the van is full and you need to condense everything to fit it lol. Goodluck though! You'll get it :)

@@JackDelivers I'm sure it'll be easy to pick up, you had any bad experiences yet? I was worried if I went to a house at night they might kick off but then realized they pick the delivery slot haha - all my shifts been offered are all 3-10 or 4-10 lol.
@JackDelivers
@JackDelivers Год назад
@@elcxyrp1099 No not really, some people are upset if you are late but if you phone them telling you are going to be late they are usually okay about it. Customers pick their time slots so the latest you can ever deliver will be 11pm, my latest drop last night was around 22:45. Customer chose the slot 9-11pm so as long as you turn up in it it's fine! :)

@@JackDelivers sounds good, I'm looking forward to it :) do you know how the pay period works? I start Tuesday on induction, then all other training after - I'm trying to figure out when I would start being paid - they said it was on all documents but can't find it anywhere lol

Cool vid, I’m current an Amazon driver we do like 250 addresses a shift (50-60 on same street). Tim actually thinking of going for this job, How many stops do you guys do?
@JackDelivers
@JackDelivers 8 месяцев назад
Hey. So it depends but on average where I am I have between 15-25 drops a shift, on average 20. That’s over a 6/7 hour driving period. Sometimes addresses on the same street, some times 10-15+ miles away.

Hi mate, loving the vids! Got an interview for this job on Tuesday. What was the interview like for you and what are Asda currently paying for this role?
@JackDelivers
@JackDelivers Год назад
Hey! The interview was quite a nice experience for me, mainly at the store they were interested in my driving experience and customer service, checking right to work and so forth although every store and manager nay do it differently. ASDA currently has a flat rate outside of London of just over £11 ph as far as I am aware although this seems constantly on the rise. Goodluck!

Hi Jack, work with you at same branch, great video, just a couple of pointers, I understand you are a young lad, and a lot fitter than your older colleagues, but you realy need to use your trolly, your back is more important than than customers, use trolly all the time, not just because they are away from the van, next is you was filming filling up the van, it is against the law to use a mobile phone at the petrol station.
@JackDelivers
@JackDelivers 8 месяцев назад
Thanks for the advice Tom :)
@pablomulvihill

It's not against the law to use a phone at a gas station? Stop scaring the lad. And there's nothing wrong lifting the totes if the address is next to van, helps keep fit whilst doing a majority stationary job, aslong as you practise good form, it's not going to hurt you.
@tomlister6305
@tomlister6305 4 месяца назад
Sorry DAD, so when the poor lad gets older, and he loses time from work because he has back problems, the trolly is there for a reason, not just for leaning on it whilst someone takes your pose, and as for the mobile phone is not against the law to use whilst filling up, it is on the list of things you shouldn't do whilst filling up, like smoking, or leaving engine running, but thanks for the reply. Not.😂
@pablomulvihill
@pablomulvihill 4 месяца назад
@tomlister6305 we've gone through century's of evolution of lifting heavy things, our body's adapt. You'll get back pain when you stop using your muscles and rely on aids. Practice good form and he'll be fine
