Hi there, glad you found it inspiring! in response: Participatory budgeting is a way of opening up public finances to an open democratic process. Co-production is a way of delivering public services through an equal and reciprocal relationship between professionals, service users, their families/neighbours. Rather than service users being treated as passive consumers, co-production looks at how service users can get involved in the design and delivery of services, working with professionals.
This is great. So much is the same as what we have been doing in 'Therapeutic Communities' since the Second World War - but many in our field have become a bit too inflexible about it. 'Co-production' is a phrase i'm going to start using to try gingering them up!
