And he would've obliged you. :) Larry was such a great storyteller and loved sharing his stories... only wish we'd gotten more done before he passed away.
she honestly was so unapologetically herself easily one of the most authentic celebrities the world has ever seen honestly a badass queen who said it like it was
I have a Bea Arthur in my life. This last story reminded me of him 100%. He'd cut his own arm off if you needed a hand, but would not hesitate to tell you you're using it wrong.
OMG!!! The stories!! I’m laughing out loud. Thanks for sharing Mr. Randolph’s memories with us. The visuals of him Bea and Charles sitting around a kitchen table are delightful. ❤️
He directed a few theatre productions I was in and would be there before showtimes some days and just sit and tell stories... I loved listening. Some people have a knack; Larry certainly did.
An entertaining and informative series of videos! Angela Lansbury is the only person I've ever heard say that Bea Arthur was the "sweetest" woman on the face of the earth ...although the narrator of this run of videos, Larry Randolph, seemed to have understood Ms. Arthur and liked her very well. If the "doggy" in the photo at the end is the "equal opportunity snapper" he described, I can well believe it. She doesn't resemble my dog very closely, but the look on her face is remarkably like my dog's expression: an affectionate mutt to the family, who will growl fiercely at anyone she thinks is invading her home without authorization from her humans ...and she will draw blood if strangers try to touch her without its being made clear that they have permission to pet the pooch. We're working on that failing, with the aid of a muzzle for walks in public...
