*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*
We have used the ru-vid.comUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
I wish I had bought another of these, I've had a Tailgator for 8 years now it's great for taking places when I don't need a big generator. I was sad when I learned they no longer sell these due to california. Only option now is to get a different brand one online for double the price.
Great video!! Another awesome product from my favorite store harbor freight. Go easy on that pull start. The paws on the inside that engage on the flywheel are plastic just so you know. Can't beat it for $89. Hope it serves you well.
@@ScareCorpGears Good video..Is their a circuit breaker I can buy??? I have the same Stormcat generator...I want to run a 1500 watt Wagner steamer Canister...Any Ideas?? Keep up the great Video's and much success
Would you run your car flat out with half a ton in the back from new ? I have stripped both an old 650W and one of the new '900W'. The winding's are the same. It's the good old Chinese playing the numbers game. Next year they will be 950W or even 1000W. They run well at 500W. The main problem is 'inductive loads'. Light bulbs usually blow when you turn them on. The filament has a very low resistance when cold and the current they use is many times the normal just for that split second. These little generators will stand quite a bit but hang a 1000W saw on the end with a high inductive load (most motors do) and it'll be goodnight Vienna. There is a RU-vid video somewhere of an elderly chap living out in the backwoods that's had one of these running for 6 hours every day for 5 years at 500W. He's got a 5A fuse in the line . Mine is 3 years old and I have a 2A fuse (UK - 250V) . I have blown the fuse but it could have been 'smelly' - that's what we call our little generator. There are more of these generators around the world with different names than makes of beer. They may have Harbor Freight on them but it might as well be Kiss Me Quick. 50:1 fuel oil is OK if it's not a hot day, 40:1 if hot. That's not on the American ones but is on ours. It's 30:1 while running in. Treat these little gens like an old wrinkly like me and they'll go forever. They are very good value and quite well built. I squirt a bit of stuff called Easystart. I expect you can get something in the US even better. Our glorious EEC regulations have stuffed everything.
I can relate to the "Old Dirty Gas" Part i had not started this Generator since this video and earlier in the week i tried to start it and man did i have a hard time, i had to open the top cover to get at the throttle and manually rev it as i was pull starting it. it started right away but it took forever till i figured this out. Thanks for the COMMENT.
old greg Been there done that, about 15 times before I switched to a more reliable generator. The only reason I went through so many was because of the warranty. When it went bad I just took it back and got a new one - no questions asked. Finally got tired of the swap outs.
i guess not and why bother letting it warm before turning the choke off while were at it lets throw some old ass gummed up gas into a brand new generator. and dont even bother turning off the gas and burning the gas in the carb out. oh you'll be cleaning that carb next year
plug in a surge cord, the kind with maby 5 outlits for pluging in thing's.and don't run this generator on cement,to load.put it on the grass,or just ground to soak up the noise,on cement it's much louder.and from the start, buy a brand new spark plug.dont put old gas in it,and let it run an hour before you plug anything in it.and don't let it run out of gas, alway's shut it off before it run's out.also,if it's near a build'ing,'the noise will bounce off it,and make it louder.it's best on the grass,or just sand to soak up sound and vibrate'ing noide..the father the cord has to travel, the heavy'er the cord should be,at least the first 5 feet, then a normal cord after that, then your surge cord, that you can plug about 5 thing's in.Just Tryin to Help Out A Little, thank you..
Problem is the car or at or is crap and doesn't last long and starts flooding or starving the engine with gas. Works pretty good for about 3 months. If you get one to last more than 3 months then you're extremely lucky. I know for a fact because I've gone through about 13 of these things. Store warranty is 3 months (90 days). So I'd take it back and get another, sometimes it'd last three months, other times it didn't last 3 weeks. The bigger ones are better. Predator 4000 is a good machine, with coupon you can get one for like $279.00. Mine starts first pull every time and it's almost a year old, and I use it every day.
i have a generator little bit bigger its a chinese made generator but distributed in indonesia its 1000 watts generator 4 stroke but it has 2 problem 1.the voltmeter is not working 2.the leaking oil my generator always spilled a oil when it run i dont where the problem is but it come from the engine. when im checking the dipstick is always low and when it runing the voltmeter always not working if broke or not. somebody can help me!!!!
