STORM CAUSES HAVOC AT THE LODGE | VAN BUILD Fitting curtains in the van 

Thank you so much, these are my two most favourite pieces of music and shows/parades from all my time of visiting Disney over 30 years. It is the music of our son’s life and growing up. So many magical memories, happy but somewhat grieving tears of times gone by! We closed out MK one year at the end of a Halloween party, literally the last seven people walking down Main Street, it is a magical time of day. So glad you stayed and did this 🎉 Happy New Year.

Hi Nick & Leigh Chrimbow decs always seem to take ages to pack away followed by dusting & hoovering everywhere! But it is nice to get the room back again once they’ve come down! Ours always come down day after news year day. When the power went out we really though that you guys would head over to the van so you could have lights, heat & make yourself a cuppa & spend your first night in the van😊🚐xx

You’re lucky you have two of you to take down the decorations, including the tree - I only had me, and it took me a good chunk of the day. I probably need to get myself a charger so that when the electricity does go out, I don’t have to ration the use of my iPad as much. So I have you to thank for reminding me of that!

My living room always looks bigger whenever I take my tree etc down. I have a good idea for the bk doors on the van for curtains but by the time of my watching this you'll probably have a solution. Good luck it looks amazing 👏 😊 ❤

Took our decorations down today and started putting up our Mardi Gras decorations. I do like how y'all used a gnome and a box to wrap the lights around. Living in an area prone to hurricanes and tornadoes we check our portable chargers to make sure they're fully charged, we keep fresh batteries in our flashlights, and have a camping stove in case power is out for a long time. But I will say this: I love a good thunderstorm.

I feel like Christmas came & went so fast this year.

Happy new year! We have curtain blinds on our windows and then a curtain on studs to keep the draft out on the back door if that helps 😊 good for the winter and can take down in the summer (on our van )

Hate taking the decorations down it looks so bare 😏 we have just had our first few flurries of snow here in Essex 🥶

You could do with one of those little tents for the Porto potty. That would stop the shite smells.

Firstly a happy new year to you both ! Looking forward to see how you conquered the back door curtain problem in the van... i was thinking but now this idea is too late for you..... if you kept the pole that you had already in place. You could of got 1 or 2 voiles.. then i think.you could of made another entrance to pass the pole through , So it would of made the top higher, I know what i mean just hard to explian. Well im.sure what ever you've dont it will be perfect. Again another really good vlog Therese x

You can add magnets in the bottom hem of the curtain and it will hold itself to the metal part of the bed frame underneath. I have enjoyed watching this process so much!!

Hi Guys another great vlog I agree it takes ages to put the decorations up but not so to take them down. We took ours down New Year’s Day as the had been up sine up since the 1st December.

I put solar lights up outside and just leave them up all year 😂. In the back garden anyway. They brighten the winter nights.

Will be definitely too late for you now, I’m a few mins in…could you not use a net curtain wire on the back windows and just have a curtain that pushes along it?

Great vlog as always For the first thing this year I tried putting lights on the Christmas tree up and down rather than round and round ! Was so much easier especially when taking back off, and definitely less dizzy 🥴 😂

A roller blind might be better in the back windows

Absolutely love the van and can't wait for the first road trip! Don't know if this is something you've thought about for the van... the stool chairs you have built for the table - will they move around when you are driving? I suspect they are fairly heavy so might not move much. However, if you need to do a sudden break, could they slide and mark something else in the van?

I know the time comes but I hate to see all the Christmas decor go… 🎄🎅🏻🌲

🎄It takes us about 3 days to put our tree up & 2 days to take down. It’s 17 ft & has 331 ornaments 😱😱😱

Hi we have a caravan and it uses the same fluids as your loo. I don’t like the smell so we use our favourite zoflora in the flush it works just the same xx loving the vlogs and cannot wait for you to be off on your adventures in the van xx Tina xx

What about a roller blind rather than a curtain on the doors at the back.

I’m so relieved you decided to put the tape on the bottom of the curtain and not try to cut off the top of the curtain I was shouting at the vlog no don’t do it that way it’s easy ire the other way then fold it up and pin it then trim it off the van is looking so good you need to go on a one nighter just to try it out like Leigh says xxx

Its so bare when decs come down

We never smelt the toilet chemicals in our motorhome. Door shut and lid down.😂

sometimes its nice to have a day without all the technology but would rather 😂choose than have a storm choose. this is when you find out what all needs charging. You should have had a mini-trial run sleeping in the van

brown paper or parchment paper on top of webbing then apply heat then no worries about burning it

We leave our decs & lights up until the morning after 12th night so took them down on the 6th Jan.

Here in Florida, with all the lightning we get, it would take me forever to reset all the electronic devices if I had your Lodge set up! LOL

Why don’t you put a length of wardrobe rail to use as a curtain rail on back window , it’s a lot more substantial 👍

Should of put a damp t/towel over then iron over it.

Wood is not unhygienic. There's a reason why butchers use wooden boards, wood is antibacterial. Plastic, hygiene wise, is actually the worst.

Hey I just wanted to explain why the lady asked you to scratch off the 4 digits on the scratch cards, basically because we who sell them in there place of work aren’t allowed to our self’s due to if we scratched it off and we scratched too hard and messed up one of the numbers the scratch card becomes worthless due to not being able to type in the 4 digits an u can blame us but if u do it then it’s all on you lol hope that makes sense Love your videos ❤xx

Bloody hell i hope not toilet fluid smell like Disaronno, i drink disaronno with chambord & cranberry juice, dash lime juice & suger syrup its gourgous. Miller & carter does it called a Disaronno Blush bloody gourgous drink,
