Storm chaser activates FLASH FLOOD CHASE MODE! Debris flow potential increasing in CO today

I am considering a quick run to Colorado for flash flood intercept. A flash flood watch is in effect for the burn scar areas like the Cameron Peak and East Troublesome Fire scars. If a storm dumps over 0.75" of rainfall in one hour on one of these burn scars, then a life-threatening flash flood with debris flow is very possible. Watch out along the Poudre Canyon this afternoon, and also around the East Troublesome burn scar around Grandby, CO. These are very dangerous, so hikers and campers and anyone near a flash flood warning tomorrow in CO and UT/AZ should be careful! Here is a flood from the Pine Gulch Fire Scar north of Grand Junction, CO last year:

And they shall continue to cause trouble, all the way to the delta and beyond, in the Gulf of California. They'll JAM Hydroelectric Turbines at Hoover Dam--well, not quite--but I thought that you'd APPRECIATE the hyperbole ennywhoo, Reed!!

I remember having a bunch of cub scouts in a creek during day camp. It had been lightly sprinkling and all of a sudden we heard a roar! I have never moved so fast getting those boys out of the creek. Never ever again! We were so lucky!

You’re very lucky. A lot of people don’t even realize they’re in a dry ditch. It’s been SO dry out here…the rain we got caught up in yesterday in the gap (between Colorado Springs and Denver) was insane.

Thank you for bringing attention to the danger of flash flooding in burn scar areas. As a Coloradan, we know when to stay away from certain areas and how to spot dry ditches, etc. But tourists here to camp and hike do not usually know the dangers associated with flash flooding in burn scar areas. So thanks again for bringing awareness Reed!

Before the European settlers did the debris flows build big dams in the dry washes and the water held back behind the debris dams seep into the underground aquifer? Were there cottonwood groves in the dry gulches before the European settlers cut them down for lumber? Restoring these debris dams in the dry washes would probably replenish all the aquifers out in Western United States?

Why is the audio looped? The audio of the moving water is a 20 second loop, and you can hear the click every 20 seconds, as the clip repeats. Does that make it easier for the RU-vid system to process the video? Or is it just easier?
