This piece is an in-game respectful culmination of two pieces; one that plays in the Storm Drains level and a variant that continues once Lara breaches the Louvre Galleries in Paris.

Score in bulk composed by Peter Connelly, with contributions by Martin Iveson.
Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, orchestrated by Peter Wraight and conducted by David Snell - recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 2002.
Sadly the soundtrack has never seen a commercial release (and subsequently remains license-free).

I am addicted to this theme, it's so perfect, I write my homework to it, feeling like a badass, work out to it or just imagine stuff while listening to it, it really helps me plunge into a whole new, darker world. And whenever the main theme kicks in, I just stop doing what I am doing and cherish the perfection of the sound. I swear, Nathan McCree, Peter Connelly and Troels Folmann mad e the best TR soundtracks, I just don't get that amazing feeling from the reboot ones...

I know a lot of people hated this game, but I didn't. This game was a huge part of my childhood and the OST is amazing, you have to admit! The new ones have good graphics only. A couple of hours of actual gameplay and 100.000 collectibles that make completionists like me wanna hang themselves (and also make the overall experience a lot less immersive). The story of AOD had a LOT of potential. Sure, it had a lot of issues do to the fact that it was rushed, but imagine if they remade this game with today's graphics, no bugs and no wanky controls! The newer TR games couldn't even hold a candle to it!

I don't get either why many people hated it, sure it had some gaemplay flaws but the story, the soundtrack the whole mood all this was amazing, I played it as a pre teen after TR 1,2,3,,4&5, I wished they remade it with improved gameplay and proceeded with the trilogy that was to happen initially, too bad cause a trilogy of the Angel of darkness would have been awesome ❤️ still one of the best games ever in terms of general mood and story telling 😍

@@jassorjasmine7092 Oh, yes, absolutely! If only they weren't pressured into finishing the game early! Unfortunately, it doesn't have enough fans to get a remake, although I'd definitely pre-order it if it did!

The game is really awesome. I had a lot of fun, regardless of the weird controls. I haven't played much with the newer TR games by Square Enix (I might have tried them some years ago?), but they don't look like they're my thing, they look too adventurous. I liked TR AOD dark style that spooked me quite a bit as a little kid. For me AOD is like an action-mystery game and I love it. And I love the soundtrack and would absolutely play this in my car haha. The style of Paris etc and the cave levels were also really cool and I especially like how they give you a lot of graphics settings outside of the game with the launcher. Like you could set the texture colour thingy to be CYM or RGB or ARGB and this kinda advanced stuff, which I really appreciate.

I love how the Storm Drains levels have this beat that sounds like steel pipes and waterdrops and the actual Louvre levels have the synthesizer beat that reminds you of Lasers

The music part in TR was always one of the biggest masterpieces in my opinion, in a game, the way they can transport you into an atmosphere that always resembles Lara and just the game and her story, how they can relate a soundtrack from the game 1 to one of the game 4, 5 or 6 but with the specific style of each one

Objectives of this Louvre Storm Drains 1. Fill up all 6 levers to get access to Storm Drains including strength upgrades 2. Enter into oil tunnel after deactivating the non stop flow stream water 3. Use Top or Low Level Explosive Set to blast one of the walls by diving into the liquid soon to get back the safe place 4. Reach the main hall of Louvre Gallaries to start the next level

They just don't make them like they used to.. I miss this classical style of TR music. The new ones are too Hollywood and generic. Shadow was an improvement but I miss the choirs stuff personally

God, this is SO PERFECT. One of my fav tracks in this awesome soundtrack, together with The Strahov Fortress and Dance of The Lux Veritatis (Kurtis’ theme). I love it, I love it so much. And the best part of it is that in includes original Tomb Raider theme (omg omg omg). THAT is a true tribute a reboot must pay to its original source. Because TRAOD was the only reboot the franchise needed, and NOT other one. *bows to the greatness of Peter Connelly*

Meldelen This game was a continuation of Tomb Raider Chronicles. The 2 games are connected by the book Amulet of Power. Tomb Raider Legend and TR 2013 were reboots because they kicked out the previous narrative and introduced a new one. TRAOD is no reboot, just a part of a series that failed the transfer to a new generation.

Love this song it activates something inside of me from when I was playing it as a kid this song(and level) used to be so soothing and so sureal at the same time because of the fear I felt of the guards seeing me I know a lot of people hate on this game and I can see why because obv it was unfinished but I never made it more than halfway through the game anyway so to me it will always be an amazing game that sadly I never got to complete sadly they dont make games (or movies) like they used to... the games today just have no soul in them except for the odd good 1 that pops up now and then.. I miss the good old ps1 and ps2 days so much

I must agree with you on this. Games definitely doesn't have soul anymore now. It's the reason why is still play the splinter cell series to this day and some of the james bond games from the ps2 and xbox era are still so fun. I think gaming reached its peak in 2007 when cod 4 and halo 3 released with some more awesome games during that time.

I hated the reboot Lara more than I hated AOD lara In my honest opinion I think this game is perfect in every way the controls are the way they used to be she can do the same jump there is a mod for dual pistols If you can't stand just having one But this game was the best tomb raider and I would do anything to play it again.

The controls weren't as bad as people make them out to be. At least on PS2 they weren't. I just started playing the game again, and haven't really had many struggles apart from some delay while jumping and stuff. I think if they would have had her start running immediately as you push the analog stick, it would have helped dramatically.

I believe if the game had its time to be finished, there would be cutscenes or something more that explain various plot holes of the game. Shame on Eidos that did make pressure to Core Design to hurry release the game...
