Leeds Bradford Airport is located at Yeadon, in the City of Leeds Metropolitan District in West Yorkshire, England, 6 nautical miles (11 km; 6.9 mi) northwest of Leeds city centre. The airport is also the highest in England at an elevation of 681 ft (208 m). To read more about Leeds Bradford Airport, click here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeds_Bradford_Airport .
Storm Henry was named over the past weekend, with severe gales forecast in places late on Monday 1st into Tuesday 2nd February, with gusts of up to 89 mph recorded in Scotland. This film features several aircraft taking off and landing into crosswinds on Leeds bradford Airport's runway 32 between 14:45 and 15:45 on Tuesday 2nd February, 2016. The wind effect is most apparent upon those aircraft which are landing and are having to fly with their noses 45 degrees into the wind to counteract the crosswind effect. This manoeuvre requires much skill on behalf of the pilots and is known as 'crabbing'. This film is a testimony to the great skills exhibited by the pilots and crew of the aircraft at Leeds Bradford Airport today.
Featured flights in the film are as follows: British Airways BA1343 to London Heathrow; Jet2 repositioning EXS32E from Edinburgh; Ryanair FR2333 from Krakow; Naljets private business jet, unknown destination; Aer Lingus EI3394 from Dublin; FlyBE BE735 from Belfast City; and Jet2 LS347 to Dusseldorf.
Featured aircraft are: Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Cessna Citation Excel, ATR 72-600, and a Bombardier Dash-8 Q400.

I've flown from and to Leeds/Bradford many times and although the take offs were ok, the landings were somewhat scary!
