Is there a way to determine when it would be beneficial to use an Asymmetrical ball? I have both an Asymmetrical and Symmetrical ball in my bag and bowl on a league with a typical house shot oil pattern. Thanks.
Surface is going to be the biggest key. Asym's typically start to roll sooner or want to change direction. Sym's take longer for the core to wobble and do it' work. However if you had a dull sym vs shiny asym you could get opposite core shape in theory. So always a good idea to adjust surface. With that said, for a house shot, not knowing your speed and rev rate is hard to really offer many suggestions. If you're faster speed with lower hand, then an asym would be great. If you have low ball speed and high rev rates, then a lower end sym polished is going to be a lot better with a pin down drilling.
