This is about how the weather played a key role in Chicago's Democratic Mayoral Primary. Produced by Towers Productions, Inc. for The Weather Channel Network. No copyright infringement is intended.
I worked in Oak Brook that winter, across from Oak Brook Center Mall. There was so much snow that the parking garage from our office had structural damage from the weight of all that snow. They bussed us from the mall, across Rosevelt Road. There was so much snow in that parking lot that snow piles were at least 10 feet high. They snow took forever to melt.
I remember a network news report on the upcoming election. They showed segments of both candidates' TV ads, with Bilandic's ad featuring scenes of Chicago on beautiful spring and summer days. It was a weak attempt to make people forget the big issue, and of course it failed.
thank you for the new episode.... I love Storm Stories..... I'm trying to watch every episode but it's hard to find them all.... thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
It wasn't so much the snow as HIS ineptness! Tell people to park in lots that HAVEN'T BEEN PLOWED? CUT TRANSIT IN ONLY CERTAIN areas...Reminds me of someone recently in charge, I won't mention......
Yeah, Chicago to this day makes sure to clear the snow from the streets...but how about they put some effort into the poop, hypodermic needles, and dead bodies... could they work on that? 😂
