At this point we really should stop building homes in flood prone coastal areas that are right on the beach. It can’t be fun or cheap to lose everything and have to start over even if you do have insurance.
Not many people agree since Florida's population is growing. It is one of the fastest growing in the country. Hurricanes are not that big a deal unless you have a house on the coast.
I just had a flood in my basement of…less than an inch! Clean up still continues. I cannot imagine the devastation this will bring. Good luck everyone.
Data indicates that hurricanes have not increased over the past 20 years but have decreased in number an strength. Don't let facts get in the way of your fantasy.
It is a Category 3. Category 5 is the worst. So, this is not one of the most dangerous storms by any means. Not many buildings damaged, boats are still in the water and not much damage, some minor flooding on a few streets. The world is not ending.
@@Elloguvanah Praying for Florida AND all who may be in the hurricanes path. It's not over yet. GA, SC, NC. The prayers of a rightous man availith much.
@@2catsonboat I would not worry about me. All questions I have are answered by science, logic and reason. I don’t believe blindly and I don’t follow blindly.
Wee plan for the worst but this is a long way from the worst. People living in these areas should know what to expect. As for the report it was all gloom and doom, the water was not above the windows it was up to it. This means that you will have a little flooding and if you have planned and moved your appliance up off the floor you should be ok, finically.
😮😢 I wonder if Florida will wind up being an island. Not now of course - by the time the waters recede it will be shocking. Unreal what happened in Lee and Collier Counties and NE side of Florida.
THE “REPORTER” IN THE TRUCK😑 THERE IS NOT A DROP OF ANYTHING GOING ON BEHIND HIM🤔 INTERESTING. BUT THEN…… HE SHOWS THE OTHER SIDE AND THERE IS A RAGING RIVER🤔 THEN HE SAID, “WE {HAD} A SHOT AT THE STOP SIGN.💁🏾♀️ SO NOW I HAVE QUESTIONS. ARE THEY SITTING ON A HILL NEXT TO THE HOTEL? IS THIS A LIVE SHOT OR NAH?
By that logic, we're also st just another school shooting, or just another mass shooting, or just another racially motivated mass shooting, why bother reporting that anymore? Who needs to know what's going on outside their personal little bubbles, mind your own business and just keep ignoring reality.
Dear people, there’s a prophecy that the waters of the seas will rise and third of the earth will burn. We are living the end times. Repent and turn to the Divine Mercy of God: Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation. 🙏🙏🙏
I do wish news stations would stop the sensationalizing and just report. There are youtubers (like ryan hall y'all extra) that just report the weather and educate people. They don't put people in a van so they can say "there's a storm here". They don't report the same thing 10 times in 10 minutes.
WFLA-TV is a very popular, very friendly group. Most of us feel we know them so it’s comfortable. I used to live near there & still watch due to the way they are. To each his own, as they say.
If you watch The Screaming Models! three weeks ago they predicted a Cat 3 hit New Orleans that never happened and then predicted a Cat 3 hit the Keys that never happened and same in the Pacific with Casper through HIlary, the same 'We're All Gonna Die! Now like a broken clock they're getting a weak Cat 2.
These guys who sit in the newsroom always ask how their colleague is doing, but then just keep talking and talking and talking.....and they never actually say anything.......it's always just irrelevant and meaningless twaddle.....while the other guy just sits there on scene waiting for the guy who is comfy and dry in the newsroom to shut the hell up already..........
*For millennia,* human activity has been contributing to the degradation of the Earth's environment, leading to the dire consequences of climate change that we witness today. Deforestation, industrial pollution, excessive consumption of fossil fuels, and the emission of greenhouse gases have collectively contributed to the warming of the planet, leading to rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and disruptions in ecosystems. These consequences are not only affecting the natural world but also human lives, economies, and future generations. The current state of climate change is a testament to the collective impact of our actions on the planet's delicate balance. As we continue to grapple with the effects of climate change, it's evident that these consequences will only [intensify over time] if meaningful action is not taken. The frequency and severity of weather anomalies, such as hurricanes, droughts, wildfires, and flooding, are projected to increase, causing even greater devastation to communities and ecosystems. Rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and ocean acidification pose significant threats to biodiversity and food security. The urgency to address these issues cannot be overstated; however, it requires global cooperation, responsible stewardship of resources, and a commitment to sustainable practices. The consequences of climate change remind us of our responsibility to be caretakers of the planet and the pressing need to address these challenges for the well-being of current and future generations. Despite growing scientific evidence and urgent calls for action, many human leaders and *governments have fallen short* in effectively addressing the critical issue of climate change. While international agreements and initiatives have been established to mitigate its effects, progress often seems slow and inadequate in the face of the rapidly escalating crisis. Political interests, economic considerations, and short-sighted decision-making have often taken precedence over the long-term health of the planet and its inhabitants. The lack of coordinated and meaningful efforts to curb emissions, transition to renewable energy sources, and implement sustainable policies reflects a broader failure in leadership to confront this existential challenge head-on. In contrast to human governance, the ultimate solution to the complex issue of climate change lies in the hands of a higher power. *God's Kingdom,* as described in the Bible, will bring about the restoration of the Earth to its original state of harmony and abundance. This government, led by Jesus Christ, is envisioned to [address] not only environmental concerns but also the deeper root causes of human suffering. The Kingdom's rulership is expected to bring lasting solutions, as it will have the authority and divine wisdom to restore balance to the natural world and rectify the damage caused by centuries of human mismanagement. As such, the hope for a sustainable and rejuvenated planet lies in the promise of God's Kingdom and the transformative power it holds to rectify the mistakes of humanity. All human governments will soon be [destroyed and replaced] by Christ and his 144,000 kings who will rule over Earth. 🌎 Read Revelation 5:10.
Do our thoughts influence nature? Indeed, our thoughts influence nature. We live in a single global-integral system of nature, we influence it with our thoughts, and we receive feedback accordingly. Similar to laws that operate on mechanical, electronic, electromagnetic and other material and biological scales, when we press, push or constrain something, we receive a response. Likewise, when we think positively or negatively about others, we accordingly receive a response. The global-integral reality in which we live is a closed system, and we receive responses from it according to our attitudes to it.
WOW! Politicizing a catastrophic natural disaster? You might want to check your moral compass to confirm that you are still a human being. Unbelievable.
Everyone needs salvation here are the words of salvation please forgive me jesus im a sinner come into my heart and save me from my sin I no that you are the savior and I no that you died for me on calvary and I no that God raise you from the dead and you are alive and I thankyou for your salvation in Jesus holy name amen and its important to always ask for forgiveness every night and hope you come in my email
A little. Empathy would be nice, because hey, this thing is heading for Georgia too. People live in FL and GA just in case you didn't remember. As a note, it is exlectedbthatvth re would be less hurricanes but that those that come in would be of higher strength than usual. This tracks.
Yeah baby! Hurricane time! Losing power sucks, but I've got an automatic generator that powers my house the moment power is lost, and it can run for weeks without refueling, so suck on that Idalia! Good luck to everyone else, I'm gonna go party
