In Stormvault the MC is known as the "once forged" because she hasn't died in the time she's been a SCE. That was a fascinating idea that some SCE have a good amount of pride in the fact that they haven't been reforged multiple times yet

While slightly out of lore, my Stormhost is a former Blood Bowl team, and their Stormhost is "The Halls of Fame" Because Nuffle is the best god (thats not a horned rat)

I love the idea in the Soulbound rpg that Sigmar sends Stormcast out with them so that they connect with the other races and build new experiences with them to try and replace some of what they have lost in the reforging process.

At first I hated stormcast but now I really like them I'm glad I got Dominion for my birthday so I can play both factions without having to sink so much money into it

I am happy that my army has got a big update finally. I have watched (while painting) the stormcast lore video's you made in the beginning alot of times. Looking forward to this serie my friend. Good job as always 👍👍👍

I ve noted that that Lord commander of the Exelcior learning that the crusade works was impressed by the human community success. Imao, that could reconcile the humans and the Stormcast the second regain the faith in the civilisation that Sigmar put in their mission.

Space Marines are soldiers but Stormcasts are heroes

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into AoS. I used to be a little bit frustrated because I wanted to paint my miniatures regularly but I also wanted to read the lore - it was always one or the other and my hobby time is pretty limited. But thanks to you and other lore channels I can now do both! I't very efficient and it's a great feeling when you paint your Stormcasts and learn something about them at the same time.

I'd like to see how the Reforgings are effecting the different Stormhosts differently. Because we know that the Knights Excelsior lose their ability to see shades of morality and the Celestial Vindicators become more and more combat focused. But how are the Hallowed Knights and their faith changing? Or the Tempest Lords and their dedication to leadership and fair rule?

I’m new to tabletop, first got into it with the dominion box and I am hooked! Love your videos and how you deliver the tasty lore I’m very excited to look into narrative gameplay and build up my forces on a path to glory

Well I thought the biggest complaint on release was that they were to 'space marine' like. I feel like all the care to make them ascended humans and selected mortals rising up by god-king Sigmar falls flat on its face when I hear about them losing their humanity and their identity - they just become like space marines again. Devoted defenders of humanity, but unfeeling and unforgiving. I legitimately think they're better as 'true heroes' with less flaws and as a beacon of hope narratively.

I enjoyed the video and I agree dominion was a very good book. Goes in-depth into the mind and actions of the stormcast eternals

always been with 40k, friend got me into Sigmar at first like "eh..." now I love them, love the lore that slowly coming out. models are gorgeous and allow little more freedom on looks.

Because of your tellings of the lore, I took my burried half of the Soul Wars box, split a Dominion box, and now have 3k points of Stormcast. The stories and struggles have captured me, and fuel my love for the faction. Thank you.

Age of Sigmar 4th edition will see the first Lightning Gheists for the SCE. With so much of the soul stripped away by Nagash over multiple reforgings, the missing material will be replaced with the Storm; hulking stormcasts that are the Tempest made manifest. Stormcasts the size of dreadnoughts? Im here for it:)

I just finished reading the last chapter from Berserk and I'm feeling down hopefully this will get my spirits up.

One thing which has always been unclear to me. Do Lizardmen, Dwarves, and Elves become Stormcast too but when reincarnated into a Stormcast Vessel, their proportions become much closer to that of Sigmar given they are Sigmar's army, but for instance they may look very strange if you took their helmets off? Or are Stormcasts specifically former warriors of the Empire, Bretonnia, The Border Kingdoms, as well as those of humans who have died in ages since? (Warriors throughout the Ages of Myth, Chaos, Sigmar, and now The Beast?)

Even thought GW and I aren't on the best of terms I still appreciate the Stormcast Eternals.

Kind of reminds me of the Guardians from Destiny. I really love the idea of mortal men and women from all walks of life being reforged into these immortal Demi-god warrior of light/order. Over the ages or after each rebirth/reforging they struggle with losing a bit of their humanity and personality and eventually become something completely unrecognizable.

Unpopular opinion here: Stormcasts are better and less boring than space marines (despite them being fantasy space marines).

Not gonna lie, I used to look at these guys as nothing more than "Sigmarines" in the worst sense, just Space Marines in AoS form, but after reading a few books and seeing the direction that this faction is heading, I've got a big old fat whack of Hallowed Knights fighting on the table top, they honestly aren't my favorite, but they are an awesome army and great for new folks to pilot, and that's mostly who uses them, new folks who get introduced to our group

As much as I like they are being portrayed as demi-god or superhuman, I hate how the new AOS trailer that the stormcast general's armor got penetrated by one wooden arrow :(

Can see certain Stormhosts sorta waking up to themselves and going wtf are we doing? Then progressively becoming more human while still having their strengths and powers as others fall more and more towards becoming automatons and going corrupt

I don’t play warhammer table top. But I do read their books. Dominion was an awesome book and I was hoping for another one to find out what happens to the new city.

I LOVE stormcast and it is army I started with but....I can't help but think that they're not so great demigods even somewhat weak and s2d are more interesting faction and I hope next new battletome is theirs :D

Sigmar was like a cross between Jesus and Thor already with the stormcast he has his own Einherjar.

I've liked Stormcast since AoS 1. Yes, the perjorative of Sigmarine is well-deserved. I wish their inclusion didn't come at the expense of the old world. However, I like them anyway. An army of lightning paladins serving a combo of Thor + other deities. Works well. Disappointed in their new Battletome, though. Oh well --- at least we can build an all dragon army now (and it's potentially pretty good too --- maybe not meta-breaking will destroy everything, but definitely strong!)

Im really not a fan of the gray they keep painting into Stormcasts...call me basic or naive or whatever but I LOVE the big good guys in fiction. To me SCE were the Superman of the setting. Now GW keeps trying to make them Batman. You can do amazing things with the SCE without changing their core with all this moral ambiguity.

Great video Wonder if im the only one who finds unit type names confusing. Its easy for 40k but not so much with stormcasts

QUESTION: Sigmar takes the heros before they die to avoid them going to Nagash's realm right? If they contain some of Sigmar and are created against their will, the sound a lot like Soulblight. Great Video!

I have to wonder why the chaos gods are the same as the 40k ones yet the "good" if there's such a thing are different ? I know very little about AOS apart from a quick overview from videos like this . So are the Orc Gods the same also ? Morc and erm the other one !mindy ?

Hey man just wanted to ask- I'm kinda new to aos lore but I watched many of your videos so I feel like I have some understanding of it. I wanted to get more into it and I was wondering if the broken realms book trilogy would be a good place to start? I dont know if I will be able to fully understand and appreciate this trilogy with just basic lore knowledge? Thx for help in advance.

A little late to the video but Soul Wars is a fantastic novel about Stormcast, maybe the best in all of AoS. Plus it has an incredible audiobook with great performances, especially for Nagash. Stormcast are deceptive in that they're marketed like 40k marines, but could not be more different. Marines are murderous idiots blathering on about honor, Stormcast are people (mostly humans) plucked from their most desperate hour to become the defenders of the realms. They start as heroes (mostly, some very much aren't), and must face the ennui both of a life of unending sacrifice and torment, but also a reforging process that slowly deletes who they were. Until nothing remains but the storm itself. Thus their struggle is not merely against unending forces of chaos, destruction, and death, but to retain the ideals that made them chosen for service in the first place. Inevitably, as chaos warriors become Slaves to Darkness, so too do Stormcast become Slaves to Sigmar. Passive conduits of his fading will.

Am I the only one thinking that the curse of the storm cast comes from grugnis partication in the creation process. I mean we've seen 4 gods create legions and they all used the brand of magic they specialized in.

If I wanted to dip my toe in the age of sigmar fiction pool, where should I start?

Why they are cool? They do one thing that their space cousin fails to do... "They fall" withou becoming the bad guy. On your side you can see a SC who goes out of his/her way to save every human being. A couple reforges later the same SC would be killing humans just because they had a possibility of being corrupt (Arthas? Is that U?) It turns the game less black and white and add some cool shades of gray...

At 14:22 there is a piece of artwork that shows Stormcast Eternals fighting along side Gloomspite Gitz? Is that correct or am I just reading the artwork wrong?

You want to know the sum of the parts? Ok, as a person who has been at this for 30 years, GW recycles lore. All I see are Necrons from 20 years ago almost to the letter. I don't just mean the lore. I mean the development of the faction and release of models is the sane as Necrons. It can be inferred that SCE will eventually end up where the Necrons are now. Why Necrons? There was no way to bring Necron back story into 40k. Their lore took place 2 million years before humans existed why waste the resources publishing it? Since their story was not published it can be used for SCE.

Mortals turned to immortals feels like it would break a mortals mind but maybe that is just me.

I like this story I watched via visual medium. no words but it was so well done, it didn't need them. thats why i love fan stuff so much. it was called Astartes. cant wait till part 2... GW did what?! oh... well fkem, now I dont have ANY GUILT WHATSOEVER. so after pirating everything I can find from now on, ill let u know my fav story, after catching up on all the audiobooks from both properties.
