Genshin Impact is pretty good, depending on what you like in video games. Don't listen to the person who says it's for loli-lovers, there's barely any chibi-sized characters in the game in the first place. If you like narrative-focused and exploration-focused games and have self control not to spend (or to not overspend) on the gacha, it's definitely worth a try. The game can easily be played and fully enjoyed without spending a cent.

The best I can sum it up is it's mediocre gameplay but richness in assets. The core problem is their content model and locking almost literally everything behind some kind of cooldown/timegate. As for longevity, it's fun up until a certain point. I'm at AR59 with two cracked teams and I kind of lost interest as the only content there is for end game is the Abyss resetting every two weeks and pointlessly running domains hoping for a mostly negligible artifact upgrade. If you don't intend on spending money on the game, building new teams is really difficult as the f2p primogems you get for the wishes needed to get new characters is beyond severely limited and the absolute majority locked behind events, especially if you don't religiously login and do the same tasks over and over and over again. You get flooded in primogems during the initial campaign and exploration but that river does dry up and that's intentional. Once you're hooked they rely on you craving more.

@@Veginite Mostly disagree with everything you said. For clarity, the game is not one you play to no-life all the time like many other MMOs and live service games. It is meant to accompany you playing other things. There's reasonably sized content drops regularly, but they have a finite amount of play time involved. There's a solid amount of free currency if you actually explore, and yes, a decent chunk is in the seasonal events, but they don't take too long to complete (and there's a major narrative one every patch). So, as I said, if you like stories and exploration, and aren't looking for a game to no-life, it's worth a try.
