I could listen to the rain for hours, so relaxing. The Tower looks very pretty against the stormy night sky. Beautiful video Stephen, you always strive for, and achieve perfection. xxx
Had a thunderstorm here in Lytham St Anne's a couple of hours ago,the rain wasn't too heavy but the thunder omg,like an atomic bomb going off at times.stay safe in the storms Steven and enjoy

Got absolutely soaked into the skin after a lovely evening in Bispham. Tried to dodge the rain by taking a tram to Little Bispham and back to St Chad's but by the time I got back to St Chad's it was really bucketing down. No other choice but get a good soaking on the way home.
A house very close, next road, got struck years ago, and completely gutted. Luckily no one was in, but I fear storms to this day, BUT I still like looking at film of lightning and this was incredible. Though I've been to Blackpool many times, it's still great looking at the Tower illuminations. I've a water feature in the garden that changes colour like that, to remind me of great days in the town. It's beautiful, but ghostly at times...it might be a smaller copy of Eiffel's creation, but it's a symbol of Britain and one of our treasures
I'll bet it has been. The radio tower half a mile from where I live has been struck 4 times in the past two years. I was walking a few yards down the road from it once when it happened. My ears were ringing for hours after it was so loud
Lightning Hits Blackpool Tower Blackpool Tower was struck by lightning during a sudden storm yesterday. A violent blue flash of light was followed by a large ball of smoke over the lightning conductor on the Tower flagstaff. The lightning went to earth, but broke up the roadway and cut a gas main. I live a few miles from the BBC Droitwich transmitters, they are nearly 80 years old, and I've heard many tales of strikes, though I've never seen it. I can see them from a bedroom window, but never watched during storms. Hate thunderstorms with a passion
We haven't had any storms here "yet" !! We're I live in West Yorkshire, Had a rumble of thunder at teatime yesterday that was it. Looks amazing that sky when it lights up and the tower pretty much nearly disappeared
I was going to go for a walk but checked weather app just after going out “20 mins till thunderstorm” it said, so I just went to the shop then home……. Thank god I did 👏👌 hope your staying safe and dry ☔️
Hi George how's the weather in Wishaw? Been so hot last 3 days here 31deg yesterday 28 deg today so hot and humid, not had the rain or storms that were supposed to come at 4pm but it went very cloudy and had a couple of rumbles in the distance bit fresher out but horrid upstairs think it will be another sleepless night, hope you're all ok take care x
@@hazelmanship7516 hi Hazel we got some rain Saturday night into Sunday and some last night but it has been a very hot day today 26 I'm glad it didn't rain on Saturday during the day as we were at Linda's nephew's wedding in the middle of a forest with no shelter John goes into hospital on Wednesday everyone else is well i hope everyone is well your end

Glad we didn't come up from Swansea this weekend, maybe July now but as long as we miss the pesky sand flies that swarmed last August, they were horrific. I still laugh to this day seeing everyone on the promenade hitting themselves to get them away, it was like it was planned and sequenced for a movie. Stephen it must have been bad for you up on the base of the tower, that made me laugh also.
Great video Stephen, I live in Fleetwood and this storm missed us completely, we hardly had any rain whatsoever and the lightning was all out to sea, can I ask was this filmed Sunday or Monday, Sunday we got some like this but Monday we just had a few spots of rain, that’s it. Thank you.
