This song is a backdrop to one of the most amazing periods of my life. Post-uni, but a group of friends who came together and partied like we were still there. We used to play this regularly. I miss being young.

I recently found this band, and I love them!!! There's so many people talking about how this is nostalgic for them, and here I am... creating future nostaligia!!!

That feeling when you live in the Cowley area mentioned in the song, and you open your window in the morning to let the sunlight in and play this tune... Just bliss

This is one of my favourite songs, heard it 15 years ago on a Hungarian radio station. Instant love for my young soul. I always come back from time to time to find back to my younger self. I'm still disappointed that only 1,5M people watched it, should be 10 times more. Anyway I'm glad you're still active, keep it up, and come to Hungary if you can :)

Saw them last night on the Cardiff leg of their farewell tour....and what can I say, apart from that they absolutely superb. So sad to see them going, before their time in my opinion. Not a dry eye in the house.

My dad saw you guys at the Doug Fir in Portland OR in 2009/2010 when this album was released. He purchased this album on vinyl for me, as a 16th birthday gift and had you all sign the front. I still listen to this album to this very day ❤

@andyotaylor My parents from Stornoway, i'm from Inverness. They kept seeing the name on the weather forecast and they thought it would make quite a nice band name.

I remember when they won the Mercury Music prize for this song in 2010! I was a little disappointed that Two Door Cinema Club didn't win, but then I thought about how unique this song was compared to everything else that had been released that year, including TDCC, and realised that they totally deserved the win.

I may be misremembering this but i have a feeling i might have found this song by looking at the top 10 tracks in the dazed and confused magazine wayyyy back. Lovely tune, its crazy how that magazine doesnt even print monthly issues anymore!? However i found Stornoway, it brings v happy memories for me, this music provided respite from my chaotic life. @ArentYouAfraid thats like saying why are they wearing clothers? and why is he holding his capo? he just has it there, thats where most people who frequently use a capo keep it. its handier than putting it in the case if you are gonna use it every second song

i like this video, its really cool! why does everyone say its bad? clearly its not! its a play on zorbing cus they are spinning around. thats clever, and its cool to see like each member indivually and stuff. i think this video is great fun
