This week, discover the journey of @Marthijn, Pilot and Deputy Nominated Person Crew Training at HeliService.
Marthijn joined HeliService in 2016 as a Copilot on the #AW139. He obtained the #AW169 type rating directly when joining HeliService, enabling him to fly the #AW169 as well. Today, he runs the training department as the Deputy Nominated Person Crew Training along with being an instructor and examinator!
Among his different responsibilities, what he appreciates above all is the diversity and versatility of his work. As a pilot, his missions are never the same: different locations in Europe, different type of flying operations… All the way to the management side of things and on top training other pilots, both on simulators and in the real aircraft.
No two days are the same: one in the air, one on the ground! 🚁
For him, another relevant advantage of working at HeliService is the daily international immersion: “By spending quality time with colleagues from all over the world, you form stronger bonds which directly translate to a more effective and better working atmosphere in the office, in the hangar and in the air.”
Marthijn’s motto in his daily job: “It is what it is. Not everything in our industry is within our control and sometimes you just have to accept the facts and work through it.”
