This video is instructional; it is not intended to show children. Michaela shows the Auslan signs to the story (for parents and child carers to learn), with the intention that they can sign the story - using Auslan - to their children.
Auslan can be very flexible; there are possibly many ways to sign this story; these are my suggestions/how I might sign them. (Feel free to check with your Deaf friends/local Deaf community to see how they might sign these. There’s bound to be differences, and that’s okay! 😊)
When it comes to colours, check what signs are used in your local area or check the colour signs the children might be familiar with (NOTE the children are going to see most varieties of colour signs in their lives so don’t stress/worry about this too much!).
