Bro this guy needs to stop cutting people off when the guest is speaking passionately on the topic of discussion, Interview coulda been way better with if the guest finished his points/thoughts. it's so interesting to watch as a white immigrant to Toronto. It's like black people live in their own world. Gangs, opps, arrest at 19. why is working some legal teen job, going to college and then pursuing a career of a white collar worker not an option for you? Are there some roadblocks to it? I'm genuinely asking. In the beginning the man said that kids nowadays don't want to work they seek only instant gratification. While I agree with it, did the narrator actually "work"? He was doing the same stuff, gangs, and selling drugs. It's a slippery slope
Where did you emigrate from? There are many factors but it stems from poverty. He said he wanted a basic necessity (basketball shoes) and his single mother couldn’t give it to him. This is a very typical situation in his neighborhood, there are definitely people that get regular jobs, but then when there is a group of people that make even more money and also actively engage with you and give you a little bit of that money… you have an option. Now what are your other outlooks, do you go to a school where your instructors are trying to educate you or discipline you? Even if the thought of being a doctor crosses your mind, do you imagine you will have the financial support to go to post secondary? Or are you hungry because it’s the end of the month, and can’t really focus in school, rather are trying to ask everyone you know for 25 cents to buy nutrient deficient French fries in the school cafeteria.. There are many factors, leading one to make decisions that can be damaging in the long term.
