@user-nw1eq4uy6i Good question. I use a screenreader known as NVDA to read the text on my computer. I also memorized the keyboard layout for typing, which is really not uncommon nor difficult. It does take practice though.

I'm visually impaired (not all the way blind), but when I'm looking at you, you KNOW I'm looking at you because I make it clear with expression. Not to mention I have a louder voice than you would think would fit in this little body (I'm all of five feet tall), but put that down to sixteen years of vocal training. I would fully expect the Prophet (peace be upon him) to treat a blind person well. Why? Because he wasn't a jerk, and because, and I speak with the voice of my fully-blind best friend: "God doesn't discriminate."

One of the best and most rewarded hadith you'll ever come across:- Aws ibn Aws reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever performs a thorough ritual bath on Friday, proceeds at the earliest to the mosque, sits below the Imam and listens carefully without talking, he will have a reward for each step he took a year’s worth of fasting and praying.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 496 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani Al-Qaari said in Mirqaat al-Mafaateeh (3/1035): One of the leading scholars said: We have not heard in the teachings of Islam of any saheeh hadith that refers to anything like this reward, meaning: one should make sure to comply with it in in the hope of attaining that reward. End quote. Ibn Hajar al-Haytami said in Tuhfat al-Muhtaaj (2/471): It was said that there is nothing in the Sunnah, in any saheeh report, greater than this reward, so pay attention to it. End quote. Like the comment so it can reach out to more people. Share this hadith on your behalf as well to your loved ones for them to attain this huge reward and implement in your life too.

By the way, no, we do not have better hearing, but, without the eyes as a distraction from the ears, we're able to pay more attention to what we hear. I'm also a very...what's a good word for this? "Touch-based" person. I learn A LOT through my hands, not just Braille. But if Abdullah is friends with his cousin, and not with this official jerk, of course his hearing would cue in to, "Oh, that's my cousin, and I like him," rather than, necessarily, cueing into the other half of the duo talking.

The ahlulbayth version has it that This incident was on Uthman bin affan who offended the blind. Unfortunately the ummayad dynasty fabricated the interpretation of the verse to make it sound as if the prophet offended the blind to cover up uthman offending the blind. The Sunnis should wake up and stop this nonsense against our prophet Mohammad the infallable greatest seal of the prophets.
