Remember playing this on GameCube when I was a kid, now I’m in my 20s and I get to experience it again. Literally a dream come true. Hope everyone enjoys playing!
Friends of mineral Town has got to be one of the best ones in the series. I highly recommend you check it out. I'm not a fan of the remake's graphic style but it the gameplay is still all there with a lot of qol improvements.
I remember this was the very first video game I played on a console. Back when it was called harvest moon... I had sworn off these kindsa games but nostalgia has got me now
Just in case there are still people who don’t know that Story of Seasons is THE Harvest Moon, they should try remaking the very first game, titled *SoS: Origins* or something.
Just don't spend a lot of time making it and then charging full price lol. Not enough content for today's standards, but a great game to spend a day or two playing through. But I'd love to see a remake!
sorry to bother, but do you know if is this similar to the original one? i’m really trying to find one as similar as possible but i don’t know which one i should buy
A wonderful life on gamecube was my first harvest moon game, from there i played the gameboy and latsr DS games, enjoying them all thoroughly. I hope the DS series of games gets a fresh Story of Seasons coat soon
FoMT seemed to do well. We'll see! They've been on a remake, original, remake, original cycle, so we'll probably be waiting at least a year before we hear about the next game after tue recently announced one.
YOU GOT ME IN MY FEELS RN SO MUCH MEMORIES even though I didn't get it til I was like 10 or 11 and I am 17 now IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED THIS I HIGHLY recommend if you like Stardew its just sorta like it but has some of the mechanics ❤❤❤❤
The crazy thing is I never saw the ending on mine. After so many years of playing, I was still only in chapter 3 and had nothing more to do but repeat what I'd already done. I won't make that mistake this time! Not to mention the chapters are all one year.
@@mike1024. "A chapter takes place in a set amount of years. The first chapter takes 1 year; in this game, a season only lasts 10 days. The chapters that follow each span a certain amount of years, and all in all, you follow your farmer for 30 years (and ten years in game playtime.)" A good lengthy game!
The original was my first Harvest Moon game. Lumina was my original crush, but I couldn't marry her, so I got the PS2 Special Edition lol. Can't wait to play this!!!
sorry to bother, but do you know if is this similar to the original one? i’m really trying to find one as similar as possible but i don’t know which one i should buy
Going through the process of remaking timeless HM favorites will keep this conversation alive. Before you know it, people will only know SoS, and HM will just be some knockoff in people's minds.
I still have the disc for the Gamecube version! I want to get this so bad! I know it won't quite feel the same, but it'll be fun to revisit in this new remade form!
So many people have favorites they want to see remade next. I've seen big support for Magical Melody and Animal Parade, though I think the original and 64 both have some argument for a remake. I'd put my money on original or Magical Melody as the next remake, if there will be one.
It's a great first game so long as you keep in mind no other one has a story quite this deep. And many have more content, but this is a nice one in its own right.
Yup, you can. From what i can tell, I don't think it's too in-depth, with it. But It's still something at least though, considering the original didn't have it.
Hero of Leaf Valley has the most exciting mining mini game, whenever a new HM or SoS comes out, i always hope the mining from HoLV would make a return, not today i guess.
I actually never played the OG A Wonderful Life game (even tho I grew up with Back to Nature/Friends of Mineral Town), So I'm really excited to play this one.
Remakes like this makes me hopfull fore us to get a remake for back to natuer, harvest moon 64 and snes in the future. I realy hope they have plans to do that for thos 3 :)
I've never played this but from how you age and your kid eventually leaving I wouldn't be able to handle the gut wrenching pain. It's to much like real life. I play games to excape reality and to enjoy.
Who did everyone marry in this game? I always went for Cecillia when I played it. On another note I never understood why Lumina was an option since she was made to look so young
She was made to start in her older form in Special Edition, so I understand. To be fair though, the art style of these games never conveys a person definitely looking like an adult unless they are elderly, playable character included. It actually made it hard to know who was a marriage candidate in the earlier games when you hadn't read anything before playing.
Yep, just like the original. But I promise, they have thought the flow completely through. The days go by slower than other games, and there are six playable years within the story. This game focuses on the story of family and growth more than any game before it, so getting married in the first year is a necessity for the story's sake.
Grew up on the original and love it. Was always drawn towards the og game due to its aesthetic, many great places to just set the controller down and chill with the music. Im really turned off on the current Marvelous artstyle that they are using it. If there was ever a way to flip filters to make it look more like the original id be so very interested.
the only thing that makes me dont want to play it because the player can get old and actually death around year 6 or 7 i cant remember when it was released on ps2 , i hate it :(
