I think it's because the player can freely change hair colors as he/she pleases (at the salon, at least), and it never really was defined what his/her true hair color is, ergo it can't be a trait that can be passed down genetically. Our very hair color from the beginning isn't genetically explainable, because during initial character customization, we can pick a hair color that neither Daryl nor Marlena has... so yeah we can't just pass down the player's hair color to their child :')

you can only have a Child with Inari with the DLC....for the japanese version is a DLC there you have the choise to have Children with Inari...the US version don't have the DLC yet...but we will get it in summer this year ^^

The DLC/update in Japan lets you(Inari still doesn't live w/ you though) but it wont be out state side for a while, they're working on translating things now.
