Just wanna show my farm layout.How do you make use of your space?? Ohh,the Cellar will be unlocked after completing the farming tips..It contains of 3 fields inside so you can grow as much crops as you like xD
I'm already at year 3 of the game, already married (I played as a male this time, so I married Komari), and have unlocked all three farm extensions too. I personally like to place all my trees and teas (basically, all the trees or plants that don't need watering) down in the cellar/basement, since I won't be frequenting a space that huge very often. Plus, I set the three cellar rooms to Spring, Summer, and Fall/Autumn and plant the appropriate tree in the right room for its season, so that they'll all keep producing fruit. This way, I'll only be going down there and wasting the time away when I'm harvesting and fertilizing them, which I'd say is about once a week, depending on the rest of the workload outside. I also place all the crops I still need to tend to together on the first map of the farm, so that'll be the first thing I do in the day. After that, I can go tend to the stuff on the next map, where all my animals and herding pets are; by the time I finish watering my crops, they'll all have been fed and brought out already by the pets, and are all sorted out for me to care for without having to move in and out of the barns and coops (unless I go scoop the poops and refill their feeding areas). Finally in the third map of the farm, I get to tend to what I could call my non-essentials: mushroom logs and fish hatcheries. They don't really need as much attention as crops or animals, and they can't really be placed in the cellar/basement either, so this is where I put them. I place em all together like this, so it's all systematic and I don't waste time moving back and forth between things. At this point, my average farm routine takes me up until around 11am-ish, so I'm usually able to go make lunch for the family or do other things in town (if not tending to the cellar/basement). By the end of the day (past 5pm) I go gather the items that my other pets have foraged, and then work on the makers/machines. I usually make all the feeds and fertilizers I can make with my own raw materials, so I don't have to keep buying... but in reality, I'm just trying to cut revenue lol (like making cheese with my 1800G Milk, then turning that cheese into a Pet Food that can be bought at idk 30G?). My system's really effective hahaha a little too effective, because I'm filthy stinkin rich and don't know what to do with this in-game wealth I've amassed :'D Maybe I should ease up a bit on practicality and try to decorate the farm a little more hahaha
I'm still trying to figure out how to get the basement. I finished all the farming tips and seen the credits but it never unlocked for me. Did my game glitch?
How many in-game hours does it take you to do all the farm chores? Between all the watering, fertilizing, and animal care; it looks like it would take all day!
harvestmooncrazyfan Wow! My farm chores are usually done around 10am. Yeah... my farm isn't that big. Just out of curiosity, which character are you married to? I can tell because the clothes line near the house has two shirts hanging from it, which shows that you're married. In my game, I'm married to Wayne :)
@@harvestmooncrazyfan so How about part time jobs ? Now my farm is small, i finish all works about 11h00 am. After that i do the part time for the rank. It's so boring and earn a little money, but finish day faster :v
