STORY TIME: Cinderella (Charles Perrault, 1697) 

The enchanting tale of a young neglected and scorned step-child, a magical Fairy patron, a pumpkin coach, a rat coachman, mice, horses, and a glass slipper. This version of the tale pre-dates the Brothers Grimm by over a century! Perrault's literary version was the first to combine most of the elements we think of today.
