Your journey is Soo similar to mine. I also ending up in Computer Science which I did not intend to study. I initially planned to study Medicine but I missed ONE point and I did not get accepted (There is only one university in Namibia that offers medicine so it is competitive), it was really disappointing. I thought of branching into Engineering too but I was so detached from it. Time was running out for me to choose a course and I ended up taking Computer Science. I’m now Minoring in Cybersecurity and I also have hopes of working/furthering my studies in the USA. Hopefully you will still be making videos by 2024 so that I can use them/ask you questions about moving to the states. Your journey is so similar to mine and therefore I really look up to you. Just like those girls from the camp - you truly inspire me ❤
This is so inspirational tbh. Aladi, you're one of the people who inspires me to keep learning how to code from home. It is not easy studying Nursing and learning to code on my own but anytime I watch any of your videos, I'm always convinced that I can be a Nurse and still build one of the biggest giant Tech companies in the future. Thanks. Oliver.
Me and my family wanted me to be a doctor too, I went to medical school for 3 years I didn't get my degree , everything were not working, God sent in my life a girl friend who where in public health administration , she told me she wanted me to do the same thing, since I loved her some thing in my heart said in me do what she told you. I went to apply to public health administration school, I quickly get admitted and everything were easy and quickly but I ended broke up with my girlfriend before getting my bachelor. some thing were crazy that every where enven in the church I was voted like coordinator or something related, the time I wanted to come to the USA, I applied for all medical fields related to medical field that I wanted I got rejection but the time I tried health administration i got an admission early and easier . Today I am doing my masters second year in health administration and everything are going easier, I discovered that God wanted me to so this fields even though I didn't like it before , without this maybe I shouldn't be admitted here in the USA. Today I love this field very much. Everything or anytime God sent some thing or some one in our life , it's with a reason. Thank you aladi for sharing your experience.
i wanted to be a journalist growing up, but i found myself doing supply chain management in my first degree and now my masters here in the US. I'm liking it though lol
I can relate to the part of “computer training “ during those time, if you’ve not gone to computer training, you haven’t arrived. And most of all, you aren’t ready for college.😅
I was studying Political science then drop out. Would definitely love to study computer science in a foreign university. Currently I'm learning how to become a full-stack software developer.
Hi Aladi am Nicholas from Ghana, your story has inspired me well well, and i want to go into Computer science as well, I already had a plan for that, but I don't know which one to do because it's broad. if there will be some direction i will be glad Thank You
I wanted to become an aeronautic engineer but now I’m stuck with computer science, sometimes I look back at my childhood days and wonder where that thought came from 😂 you’re an inspiration ❤️
Although I am still in Healthcare, I am a non practicing doctor. basically, I graduated from medical school but decided not to practise. I am doing my MBA now in Healthcare management. I am branching into healthcare managment instead of clinical medicine. Life is good. I am happy.LOL
Thank you Aladi for the information and experience you share on your platform you inspire me and alot of people out here. Please more of the computer science or tech related videos alot of us need to know the benefits early to make good decisions for our careers.
Evening ma'am, this is so inspiring, I would really love to hear more about computer programming especially data science and bioinformatics, I am a Botanist and I am thinking of venturing into data science I need guidance.
I studied accounting in my undergrad and I’d love to pursue master’s degree in data science. I’ve been learning data science on my own and earned some certificates. Will this be possible for me?
