Man I love Dutch's show. Listening to Cornette can sometimes feel like an intense history lesson, and listening to Bischoff is like listening to the high school jock who is still riding high on getting 4 touchdowns in a single game, but listening to Dutch is like sitting on the front porch with my dad.
@@purplestina69 I find Nash to be incomprehensible. I don’t even mean his points or views as far as you can even get them, but how he speaks…Barely finishes sentences, mumbles and so on. I think he might have CTE or something, because he used to be a great talker
Most steroids are not called that. They are very similar chemicals with slightly different chemical signatures to get past drug tests, until the tests are updated, rinse and repeat.
@@princeofcupspoc9073steroids was never the correct term for any of it, it was always a misnomer. technically none of it is actually medically classified as a steroid AFAIK. but colloquially speaking, its all steroids.
Whether he realizes it or not, Nash means the business was over for his tall, lazy ass. Remember, he was the guy who more or less said Mick Foley's work on Hell in the Cell ruined things because he could no longer bank on textbook falls.
It never ceases to amaze me how people hire RIC FLAIR and then gets upset when RIC FLAIR shows up and does RIC FLAIR things..... There's literally a 50 year video history of what you get when you hire RIC FLAIR, If your not down with comes by hiring RIC FLAIR then don't hire RIC FLAIR, go hire Ricky Steamboat, Sting or Tito Santana if want a nice guy......
@@MIKEMARIO1 He does take it serious, People have to realize that when you hire Ric Flair.... YOU GET RIC FLAIR, and RIC FLAIR does RIC FLAIR things...... Your not hiring Richard Flieher, you hiring RIC FLAIR and everything that comes along with that. Your hiring the Jet flyin' Wooo, Kiss Stealin', Wooo, Wheelin' Dealin' Son of Gun, and he's gonna walk down that aisle and be the man because to be the man you gotta beat the man. Hiring Ric Flair and not expecting RIC FLAIR to show up is like like hiring Hulk Hogan and expecting him not to rip his shirt off and call everybody "brother". Your not hiring "the guy", your hiring the Character.........
As a pharmacy technician in America, yes people will take a pill without asking any questions. Doctor's write for shit they don't know what they'll do to you.
Because MOST doctors will TELL you what the meds are and WHAT they are for. Being a Pharmacy technician, you should know this, I have NEVER had a doctor tell me like they do in the movies "I'm going to give you these, get it filled immediately" Not ONCE in all my life has that been said. They say these are Whatever they are, they tell me when to take them, and for how long, and if it does not start to take effect in 5 days (or whenever) then come back and we can reevaluate. Not ONCE have I ever NEEDED to ask a pharmacist what I was taking.
@@stevenjames3242Exactly. Some of these pharmacists are doing too much acting like they're your Doctor and you're clueless to what it is that you're taking or treat you like scum bc of the medicine that you're taking. I've had to remind a few that are employed by Walgreens that they are pharmacists and my prescription came from my Doctor. Stop giving me unnecessary issues and fill my prescription so I can leave. If I have questions you'll be the 1st to know. If that's not possible that's OK. I can go elsewhere. Some of em are definitely on a Power Trip.
I saw Jimmy Valient at Walmart a few weekends ago and he’d put up a table and was selling photos. You could get an 8 by 10 off the table for $8 or you could take a selfie with him for $3 I think. He’s skinny as a rail and has a beard down past his waist. As a kid I probably saw him more than any other wrestler. Hell he sold me a 2 by 4 when I was around 6 or 7 and said take care of her. Shes your Ole Lady now boy.😂
Not I, Nash is a douche and he hates his own race, but gun to my head best Eddie or Benoit vs Best Nash? I think Nash wins, his matches had story and meaning. Eddie was a mid carder who got the DEI promotion and Benoit was a bore for Jericho and Angle to work with.
Nash I used to love in 1996 but today he is Mainstream Media Crazy, he says dumb shit, I don’t wanna say specifics because people get there feelings hurt and I get banned, with all due respect I’m speaking in general, I def agree with your point as well
Hey Dutch and James love the show. I grew up in Lexington KY and I'm thinking Thursday nights at Rupp Arena. Does Dutch have any good stories about Lex. My Dad was the manager of the speedway on the corner across from the ticket office. Once a month Lance Russell would come in and get several cartons of cigs because they were cheaper. I remember one time he came in and said the fans were going to be angry because Lawler broke his leg playing football with Jerry Calhoun. Is that the way you remember. Thanks again
CJ went to Florida State University and was part of a group of girl super fans that would go to the football games dressed as cowgirls. That were noticed and featured on national broadcasts. A few of them went on to become somewhat famous beyond that.
1:04:13 it's important to know if she had to go to a pharmacy to fill these prescriptions in which case the name of the medication would be clearly written on the bottle and she could just look it up...not to mention most pharmacies provide a print out of medication info. If the doc was just giving her loose pills then that's really strange. But even so, she could still go online and look up the color and markings on the pills to find out what they were. Something about not knowing what she was taking doesn't really add up. Edit: 1:04:33 see, even Dutch would have the wherewithal to do exactly what I stated
According to what I have heard - she's claiming the doctor directly gave her unmarked pills. I don't buy it, but its possible. If they were unmarked, they were supplements. If they were prescription, they would have markings. Unless it was black market shiz, which I doubt again.
It's someone who is about to lose bad in trial is what it is. She's clearly just a over glorified prostitute who only appeared when the payments stopped. The only victim's in that story are the two wives (if they didn't know or approve) and all the employees who had a real shot at those jobs that whore got.
Yeh she was. We was a dancer and performer before being a wrestler. I only know cos my ex wife watched total divas and made me watch those films. Honest.
I used to like Flair back in the day, starting with his Mid Atlantic days, but he let himself go toward the end of WCW. He should have hung it up while he was on top. Instead of an elder statesman, nowadays he is just a pathetic drunk. You have to grow up sometime.
@@DundaMifflinI hear what you're saying, but survivors guilt can be crippling and it's easy for us who have not experienced such things to say snap out of It. Or even if we have had It happen and dealt with stuff differently. Being judgemental won't solve anyone's problems.
Scott Steiner wasn't that big you got to remember he was only 245 at his heaviest and they used to build them at 295 lbs 50 lb heavier than what he actually was he wasn't really that terribly big in person I used to work at arena in Grand Rapids and I was backstage all the time he was cut up but he didn't look all that big he could have actually gotten that big naturally. My dad's 5 ft 9 and 240 lb him and Scott Steiner about the same size my dad didn't have all that muscle that Steiner had but Steiner had no fat on him.
The only way the wyatts will work is have all of them stand at the ramp and only send 1 at a time whilst the others watch per day and organically start building
35:20. Bubba Ray has worked with a lot of women, performing a "nasty bump," because he is an expert on taking 100% of the force himself. He cradles the "victim" away from the ground or table of whatever, and just sets them down. It looks good. But slow it down, and you'll see what's really going on.
“When was this taped brother?..After last night the only thing anybody is talking about today is Trumpamania and Hulkamania teaming up to bring America back!…And that’s a fact Jack!”
I always assumed Nash said that in wcw. The fact he said it when Eddie & chris won @WM, I think the FAN reaction speaks for itself. I'm a Nash fan too. I get "his' era" was different but u can "5-moves" him all u want but he was top 5 when the biz was 🔥
1:45:22 I was there. The crowd, including myself, thought it was Toni. The crowd, including myself, was confused by this promo, so it didn't really get much heat in the arena.
Kevin nash is so bitter, he's just smart with how he projects it. The end of Mania with Eddie and Chris hugging was an amazing moment. For Nash to talk about them like they weren't credible is a joke. Kevin Nash's time as WW(E)F champion back in 1994 was a ratings killer! He needs to seriously have a long hard look at him own wrestling abilities before he gets off on attacking real workers like Eddie and Chris. Is it easy for him to do this now? Sure, because neither one are around anymore and he knows the stigma attached to Benoit will gain traction in flipping the nonsense he spouts his way. What a pure bitter individual.
Dude being a good worker doesn't make you a star or draw. Aew would have record ratings with Ospreay and Ricochet would've been the biggest guy WWE ever had. Eddie is unfair as his character work was second to none near the end but one could reasonably argue Benoit was upper mid card at best
I tend to agree with you. Kevin always sounds cynical and that's pretty easy. Question everything, offer nothing. I always thought as a worker he was the drizzling shits. Too slow and boring. Mid card at best.
Ric has been gone from reality for quite some time. Every podcast he just can not bring himself to act like anything but a childish heel. At this point, he is a walking parody of his own legacy.
The Wyatt 6 stuff is well produced, but for me it's taking too long and taking up too much attention to not get to the point. I get it's over with the majority but for me it's just turning into a drag. Especially when you take into account that this is the second shot for this story/angle. It feels like we've suffered double to just get the payoff.
i disaree with dutch on his take about the wyatt's. the vhs interviews are explaining each character of the group and their motives for being in the group. and to say bray wasn't a draw...just simply untrue. his take definitely had that "back in my day" vibes which is never a good look imo.
I think Dutch is looking a bit ahead. He doesn't like it because he doesn't think they have anywhere for the group to go beyond the introduction, which honestly might be the case.
Yes, obviously Tony is paying about 100mil on talent contracts per year. He's paid 3 recent signings 13 mil. Moxley is on 6. Jericho is on 6 or 8. That's already over 25% on 5 people. He's either writing it off somehow, or his TV partners want this level of talent, etc. He's doing fine.
I think there's a huge misconception. Paul Heyman, (story's well known) has been in the biz since he was a teen. There's 0 substitute for experience, of which perry has little to none. Big aspirations & good looks but what happens 5-10yrs from now?
@@djangofett4879Still better then Joe Biden any day of the week in terms of promos and presentation. You are the same person who said Undertaker is in the closet. The only 🤡 is you.
I'm wondering if this Mark Eaton guy is facing hard times. He is selling his old WWF/E memorabilia collected as an employee. Ring trucks, old riders, and itineraries are just to name a few.
I'm pretty sure there building Mone and Britt for Wembley. Even if you don't watch or even like AEW. They always deliver great PPVs and All In will be another great show. I'm looking forward to it.
The question James asked Dutch about Steiner wasn't what Scotty claimed. He said he never took roids to become Big Poppa Pump. Still a preposterous claim but he didn't say he'd never taken roids. I remember people commenting that when the Steiners first went to WWE around 1993, they suddenly looked a lot smaller. Outside of 1997-99, I also still believe that Scotty was no bigger than he was during his tag days, he was just a lot more ripped. In those two years though, he was a 285lb monster.
Dude, If your not ready for RIC FLAIR to show up at your event then don't hire RIC FLAIR, there's literally 50 years of video evidence of who RIC FLAIR is. IF your not prepared for RIC FLAIR to show up and do RIC FLAIR shit then go hire Ricky Steamboat, Sting or Tito Santana, but if you hire RIC FLAIR then don't get your panties in a wad and bitch and moan when RIC FLAIR shows up and does RIC FLAIR type of shit....... it's really just that simple.
Twenty years ago, Ric Flair actually worked really well as a semi-manager of Triple H. He did his schtick, but he didn't overshadow the talent. I saw a lot of Bobby Heenan in his work. Of course, this is all academic today. Ric is passed it in any way and save for appearances, where he only needs to smile and wave, he needs not to be on TV.
He just says shit to keep himself relevant enough to get an adequate amount of clicks every week. If there's one part of life he excelled in...it's that kind of nonsense. If he wasn't great at being political we wouldn't even be talking about him today. Chris & Eddie were incredible workers who won the big one despite their 'shortcomings' and anyone with half a brain knows what that means.
31:58 - "Let me tell you one thing, brother ! There's only one man from the 90's, brother, who can make an impact as the third man, like I can, brother !"
1 :05 Pill Identifier. It's been out since the 2000s. Everyone knows about it in the states. Not to blame her. The picture gets clearer the more we hear. Poor woman.
I would say CJ was good as a Manager because she was Kayfabeing her Lana character for a very long time, at a time where everyone already said Kayfabe is dead. She was one of the reasons why the Rusev Character worked. Like when she said with the russian accent "Rusev Cruuuuush!!!". But even without Rusev that Lana character would a good heel Manager. Her looks was an extra, but not the only thing she had to bring to the table. But that was in WWE. So maybe Dutch remembers a different person or watched a different show. IDK!
AEW Schiavone is SO cringe. I really liked Tony in the WWF and while he took a lot of flak for his WCW work towards the end, it was still streets ahead of what he's doing now. I was shocked to watch an old WCW match and hear Tony calling moves seamlessly as well as pushing storylines etc. Now it's all 'Good call, Taz', 'I'm so happy to be here' and then swearing at the same two or three members of the roster. Schiavone is beyond lame in front of the camera now and is one of TK's biggest yes-men behind the scenes apparently. He's like the commentary version of Jericho, a former great who's crapping all over his legacy in AEW.
Naturally when u have a guy (Nash)who was (in his' day he was, that run from 95'-99ish) the "biggest, baddest dude on the block." (Taker was in wwf) & was switched back & forth from face to heel. Ala WM Nash match.
I kinda believe Scott to an extent. Obviously he was using something, but his long hair hid the fact that he was just as muscular in the SB. He had the same freaky arms. Obviously he used but idk 🤷♂️
Benoit and Guerrero were great talents and they richly deserved their spot at the top. I think creative/the office kinda let both guys down, especially in regards to working with Chris on his personality. I will agree that having two champions hugging at the end of Wrestlemania XX was a mistake. Having two world champions devalued things and it still does. But the vanilla midgets got over with the fans and part of their appeal was that they were not superhumans, physically. They were just a little more valiant, brave and driven than most of us would like to be.
Great Show! Disagree about Wyatt sicks though. IF you "listen to the room" every single time the lights go out there is a roar, and no matter what, people were also thoroughly behind Bo when Chad and the brothers kicked the crap out of him and then the save brought the roof down. Definitely not peaked as of yet. I always watch fans videos of it as I know WWE can pipe in crowd reactions. Even these videos, which I do not really like, the fans are going crazy at the end. Next, I Will Type Like Ric Flair And Show You It Really Is Not That Hard! HAHAHAHHA!
I see the Wyatt sicks as sympathetic babyfaces. They have all gone through tough times that they could do nothing about. Coming together and using their alteregos gives them a chance to fight back against "injustice".
