As an Army Vet, I want to thank you, Dutch, for your service. As a man, you are an inspiration. As a wrestler, I never got to see you work, but you are one of my all time favorite characters who I now watch where I can on RU-vid. As a speaker, your podcasts are my favorite, bar none. Wish I could just sit with you over coffee, sometime. James, you are outstanding, as well.
This is one of my favorite story time's when I am working on set between takes, and my go-to on my days off out on the river, or pond fishing listening to Dutch! Keep these story time's coming, they are a big hit up here in the North East and on the movie sets I work in! I am sending in a question soon and fetching myself a t-shirt that looks so good there that you are wearing! Respect the 'Stache! I have a good title idea for a t-shirt - "Crack dat Whip!" showing Dutch cracking his famed bull whip! If you never heard him crack his whip before you must see the videos of his promos and entrances and when he cracks that whip you can literally see the fans jolt their heads back as if they were going to get struck - it was that loud with no audio equipment helping carry the sound!
Funny. I collect old wrestling magazines. And I have one where wrestling fans wrote in to the magazines and their letters were published. There is one magazine where Eddie Gilbert wrote in and said “his favorite wrestler was Tommy Gilbert, because he’s my dad”. Pretty cool.
Hey Dutch, I just found this channel a couple of months ago, and I Love it. You were talking about how wrestling is addictive to some people, and I totally agree. I've always called wrestling a soap-opera for men. It has lots of action, drama, excitement and great looking women...what else do I need. Keep up the Great work and I'll keep watching!
Ric went to wwe instead of central states because he had tax problems and Vince bailed him out with $400,000. Ric has always said Vince saved his life at that time.
I think Dutch was in the PWI 500 got rated, but Blue Meanie didn't, BUT PWI in righted this slight for REAL or Kayfabe by having Dutch give up his spot 🤔 to make Meanie feel better. I remember it.
It is hard to break away from wrestling. I have been a fan since about 1982 and I am absolutely disgusted by a lot of things I see in wrestling today, yet I still watch WWE & AEW every week.
I might be mixing it up but that Smoky Mountain/Ric Flair story sounds like the time where Cornette would have been his manager or something? I just remember Flair ended up having problems with WCW heads Herd and Bischoff about 5 years apart!
Love you guys but you are not giving this away for free. RU-vid pays advertising dollars and you get a platform to push your merch which is more than fair enough, I love this show! I've never heard of Camio but I know a lot of people are doing well on Locals. Keep up the fantastic content fellas, I think 100k subs is right around the corner!
Cameo's great! 🤟Pay some money for the star of your choice to make you a personal video (few minutes) about whatever you ask them. I've got a Cameo from Jake the Snake and Jim Cornette. They were worth it! I'm definitely getting one from Dutch--- especially since I think he won't charge too much.🤑
It's been a while like,23 years since I retired from my wrestling journalist career so I will reveal my lucrative salary arrangements. I sent a nice gentleman out west PPW VHS and TV reports I got free newsletters and return tapes of wrestling from all over the world. And the good guys in the Midwest I sent ppw reports and TV rundown and of course house and spot shows results and I got a t-shirt and free subscription. It was a heckuva run.
Everyone knows I'm obsessed with wrestling. Unfortunately, it's still a niche product where I need to find someone that's interested in it so we can geek out. It's still not as widespread loved as NBA or NFL. The lure for me was these many, many different personalities that were almost invincible. I don't care if it's predetermined, they are athletes. They're acrobats, they're fighters, they're actors, they're entertainers. No other source of entertainment is like wrestling.
Lol exactly why I chose jade as I choice no for her she needed a challenge and in five years she a titan of her word again sincerely thank you Jade Cargill as I champion in this case champion among champions in the temporary brackets maybe one day, I monstrous champion, you can return one day and dominate permanently.
Sorry if i had anyone wantin my autograph i couldnt charge them to just sign somethin or have a chat with them... lol humans will be sat down and judged for everything they done in their life. I wouldnt be able to justify it
every wrestler puts on the same match every single night. Hit man did every single night just like everyone else. Hart was boring as crap in all aspects. Flair could talk could wrestle he talked the talk and walked the walk.
Wrestling ended in 2000. Now it’s the McMahon circus show. I supported TNA when it came out soon after. And I support AEW. The WWE is unwatchable to me.
