I love these places! Recently been thinking I would like to design/build one of those small houses on wheels. Own it, park it and then travel. No rent/mortgage, move it to a new location from time to time. And I want to incorporate storybook design. Fun vlog. Thanks for the inspiration.
I see big-the-foot still rides along with you in whatever vehicle you drive. I saw him in your last van too. Good reminder of the memories made during the daily vlog days and time spent in that van.
my friend's brother, who is a real estate agent, owns the witches house in Beverly Hills (Walden & Carmelita). We used to go there every halloween and hang out. Haven't been for a while. it's pretty cool inside! he remodeled it so it looks like snow white lives inside the cause the walls are all curved and the fireplace is opening is round and very magical looking and it feels like you are walking through a storybook. These are all great houses! We have so many cool places like that here in LA!!! Thanks for posting!
This was wonderful! Thank you, Adam. I honestly had no idea so many Storybook homes still stood. It is one of my absolute favorite styles and I would live in one if I could. They just all seem so calm and peaceful. Again, thank you for taking me out of my dreary world for a while.
Loved this, love quirky and those houses are awesome. A fun fact, a congregation of turtles is called a bale. About the only fact I know so glad to have the opportunity to share it. Lol!!
Often, when I go into Hollywood, I forget how unusual some of the neighborhoods and homes are. It's like I expect to see the Universal VIP Tram to drive by, haha!!
Thank you for taking a tour with you on these beautiful homes. What I love about them they're so different they look like cottages and their own unique way. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍
Oh my, you popped on with wonderful cottages on my YT .....I use to live in L.A. (grew up on Sherman Oaks) but some of these I never knew about. Sometimes you can come accross a story book type house in the Hollywood area before Bev Hills area, bungalow types with peeked roofs. So fun. Lot of creative folks live around there. Thanks so much!
Hi Adam, U are in my neck of the woods! Ive done several vids on the storybook House of Culver City. I have been on the inside of the main house and in 2 of the Apts. Famous people who have lived there include RICHARD BENJAMIN ad PAULA PRENTICE lived up stairs in the front< NICK NOLTE lived a VERY small apt in the back, and The MUNCHKINS of The WIZARD OF OZ also stayed there, as well as at the Culver Hotel. One of the Munchkins fell asleep while smoking almost burned down the whole set of historic units. PS: The home was built by a ship builder so he made everything look nautical. Fascinating!
I care so much. What a fantastic Vlog. Love your time and effort you put into your videos. This is the pinnacle of your gift to us mortals, Thank You, Adam the Woo
The flowering bushes called a bougainvillea. We grow them in Florida. Fantastic eclectic residences. I would live in them.I am glad you showed them. - Clara from Zephyrhills
How beautifully adorable thank you so much for sharing this or no one would have known such places exist. These small things in life does give a small smile and burst of fun around from time to time.
I remember seeing the Witch's House when I was little in the early 1960's. I don't think there was a fence around it then. Glad to see it's still there.
The witches house in Beverly Hills used to be (and probably still is) a fun stop on Halloween when I was a kid. My old grade school is just down the street.
Thank you Adam for this tour of these quirky but creative homes which I enjoyed looking at. Your mate Jordan vlogged the snow white one about Elliot. :)
Very interesting!! The first thing that came to mind for the 1st house was "7 Dwarfs' Cottage." And the minivan parked there at 1:55 is also a classic, being built 1991-95. Great video, lots of Quirky House History!!!
