You are a very calm and patient person, the OLD me would of snapped, and possibly whooped her ass ( the next day tho not on her wedding day) buttttt the NOW me would of tried to stay as calm as possible and remind myself there’s nothing I can do but wait till the next flight. Idk it’s kinda one of those, you gota actually go through it to say what you’d do kinda situation. But you acted like a classy boss and did it the right way.

I would have bought a flight home on a different airline and had the bride pay me back. Or if it was within a reasonable driving distance I would have rented a car and drove home.😁

That's just it, I think since it was a buddy flight in the first place she knew she couldn't get her on the plane that day so obviously she had to by her a real ticket like she should have in the first place, that's just messy and underhanded. Lying ass BRIDEZILLA🧟🦖🐉🐍🐍🐍

In future, book the flight yourself and pass the expense to the bride. That way you have your flight and the bride understands that its apart of the service.

Nicole Fairman that means nothing unless you want to spend the time and money to actually sue someone over the contract. It is better to collect an upfront non refundable deposit. For clients that require travel, the deposit should be more than enough to cover flight and hotel

If it was a buddy pass, the person doesnt pay for the ticket. Those are free tickets given to family and friends of pilots or other flight crew. I used to get them all the time when I was a secretary to an independent doctor. Her husband was a pilot for jet blue and she’d give me buddy passes to use for free. It was really awesome. So she didn’t pay for your ticket lol Edit-she was definitely lying about “buying” you the ticket. It was obviously given to her for free. That’s why she had no problem saying she was going to “buy a 2nd ticket”. She never bought the first or 2nd one, lol. It sounds like she was waiting for someone to give her a buddy pass

As a flight attendant for a major airline I can tell you....Buddy passes are no longer free, you pay the taxes and yield fare for that particular destination. Companion passes- free, dependent passes- free, buddy- not free...

@@potatowellcox8870 Probably, but that girl (and now her new husband) need to learn that they can't try and swindle a business. It would be very easy to find out if she paid for the ticket when she said she did and prove she did no such thing. There is also a paper trail of emails and/or texts. Even if Vanessa never got the damages she would have won, that girls credit rating would tank (if it hadn't already).

Make sure in your writing contract. You book the flight and hotel and add that expense to the whole cost. In this way you are fully guaranteed that you r safe and returning home.

That girl is lying. She was just being cheap! If you lost the confirmation why wouldn’t you call the airline! Why would you book a whole other flight. I would have definitely took her to court.

Once someone bought me a plane tix, for whatever reason my name was spelled wrong and i got the wrong confirmation number, do you know they were still able to find my tix at the airport desk, probably took a whole 30 extra secs to, that heffa aint book you nothing. She updated her buddy list and put you on after her people flew in.

I understand it was her wedding day. But do you know realize how many vendors receive final payment on the day of the wedding primarily at the reception? A lot! Getting a buddy pass has that warning of the flight being full and she should have prepared for that and prepared you for it. She was cutting corners at your expense. You handled things the correct way. Lesson learned.

Yeah she messed up when she said she couldn't find it. All it takes is a phone call. She gives her info and they send her another email which she could then forward to you. She can lose the info but the airline doesn't lose yours. da fuq -_-

The bride was wrong; she didn't buy the first ticket and then did not tell you should bought the second ticket with a buddy pass. However, I am glad that you took responsibility as well. You should have done the research as soon as you heard buddy pass since you did not know. Also, booking early clients the day after a flight out of town is No-No.

Bridal gigs are the worst. Especially when you get flown out. I'm from London, I did a wedding gig in Spain. Bride bought me a ticket that arrived 11pm the day before but "forgot" to book accommodation, even though she was contracted to provide accommodation. Then booked the flight back from an airport 5 hours drive away. And the flight had a 15 hour layover in Germany. When it should have been a 2.5 hour direct flight to London. On top of that I wasn't provided and food for the time I was there. It was a complete was of my time and energy. People are CRAZY.
