I'm going to a new school after summer and I'm already mentally preparing my self while watching these kinds of videos...... I'm really nervous

I cried everyday and did not have a good time freshman year but did not transfer or thought much about it because I was so scared.. I used to go to a preppy high school in oakville Ontario and I’m moving to a brand new high school this year (grade 10) in georgetown. I’m so scared and you live in Scarborough so if you know georgetown you know how small it is and there’s 3 high schools there so I’m pretty sure everyone already knows each other can u give me advice pls

I’m watching videos because I’m really debating whether to ask my parents if I can switch high schools or not. Thing is it’s really hard to make the decision because it’s a k-12 school and I’ve been here since 3rd grade. I’m in 10th grade right now and I’m just tired of the school at this point. The school is super small (there’s like 150 high school students total), our school cut funding for all extracurricular activities, teachers keep leaving because they’re cutting their pay too, and this is all because they’re building a new high school. But I’m probably either going to graduate a year early with my credits or do a high school program at a college for my senior year so I rob my won’t even be at the school to experience it. We have no clubs and it’s in the country and I’m Mexican American so people can be racist and insensitive. The only thing holding me back is my friends. I’ve known them for 6-7 years and I have a hard time talking to people so I feel like making new friends will be hard. But I’m leaning more toward asking my parents if I can transfer. Like you said in your video, although you had to leave your friends you know you had to do it for yourself. I just want a normal high school experience with more than 32 people in my grade and I don’t want to be mixed with elementary or middle school anymore. I want to be able to join clubs and meet new people that I haven’t known for the past 7 years. It feels like I’m not even in high school honestly, because everything’s been the same for the past 7 years. I want to do this for myself but I’m just really scared that I’m going to regret it. Sorry for this super long comment, but I just want to vent a bit and see what other people think :/
