You didn't do anything to prompt him to do those things to you. He is sick. Plain and simple. You're so strong and brave for sharing your story and even if it helps just one person, you should be proud because of it.

I have been there. I was actually molested by my step-dad and it happened for about 3-4 months. I didn't really tell anyone because he had threatened me about killing my family if I ever told anyone. I was scared so I decided to keep it to myself. It was during the summer when all that happened. When we went back to school everything was OK nothing was wrong. And one day when my mom was at the doctor with my sisters I was left alone with him and he wanted my phone but my mom had told us not to lend him any phones because we would tend to look at other things. And when I told him no he got mad and looked all over my room and backpack for the phone. And once he knew it was in my pockets of my pants he forcefully tried to get it and I didn't let him. But when he did that it brought back all those horrible moments and decided to tell my friends and they told the counselor and they did everything they could and they did. And up until now I'm always thankful for my friends for telling the counselor because I know now that I have my family here for me.

I’m crying as your talking. Today I woke up feeling completely miserable, I as well was sexually abused at 13 by my neighbor, my moms tenant. I dealt with it by always being angry and never talking about it. I didn’t know how bad I actually was until I had my baby a year ago and I was forced to deal with my emotions. Being a first time mom has made me discover fears I didn’t know I had. I’m completely over protective with my daughter because of what happened to me. Girl, like it was bad. I didn’t even let my bf which is my babies dad to touch our baby especially change her. I’ve gotten help thank God. But it’s been such a long hard process It’s been a year now that I’ve been living with actually dealing with my emotions instead of setting them aside and it’s been one of the most hardest things I’ve ever had to experience especially while being a first time mom, what is supposed to be a wonderful experience has been taken away from me due to my trauma. I never thought my trauma was going to hurt me as a mom especially because ir happened so many years ago. Babe, thank you for this video. It randomly appeared in my timeline . I feel like it’s Gods way of speaking through you, telling me I’ll be alright.

I worked as s social work intern at center for kids who had been sexually abused/molested and we conducted therapy and forensic interviews for the kids to share their story & it’s such hard work but what you say about being embarrassed, and thinking no one will believe you, are the main reasons why kids don’t tell ): & it makes me so sad. All I want to say is parents please wonder why the changes in you child's attitude towards someone changes. My mom went to her grave and I could not bring myself to tell her. I finally talk about it as an adult , but only when I attended a church event "women's night" I got DELIVERED! And was free from that guilt! That I talk about it now! ..... Trust No one!! This video made me cried so much 😭 I was raped several times by our neighbor when I was 5 or 6 years old. I never told anyone because he told me that my grandma would stop loving me if I told her. I was very insecure because dad and my mom abandoned me, and I was truly scared that my grandma would abandoned me aswell.... It scared me deeply because I don’t trust anyone. Because of him I look at everyone as potential child predators. I know for a fact I will not trust when I have my own children. I ended up telling my grandma when I was 18, and she asked me not to tell anyone because she was embarrassed to tell the rest of my family. I loved ny grandma to death, but the way she reacted to it changed my view for her.

Im looking at this video in 2022 and looking at how you spoke up gives me a lot of courage. I've always felt that hiding it is the best way to cope with it but i didn't realize how much it had effected me in my life till this year. You give me strength

So sorry you went thru it too...just saw this video pop up and decided to watch. I have been following you and your husband for a little while. It happened to me too...i am 47 this thurs and Still have not told my Mom.. I know it will hurt her and she woulld blame herself. I don't want her to be affected by it .I was about 5yrs old. I started having issues with it in my early 20,s when i started having boyfriends. It was something in the back of my mind like you said, remembered it as if it was a dream. It became more vivid as time went by...when i remember it is Me standing over him literally watching it happen, like watching it happen to someone else, but its Me,.....In my 20,s found out my older sister went thru it too with the same person. It was the babysitters husband, they were foster parents and i know he was doing it to their foster girl...not sure about the foster Son, but he tried pinning down my Little Sister to kiss her a few times, either he went thru it too or he was teaching him to do it. They were an older couple that my dad trusted a lot. Every time i pass by that house I remember.It,s like My Haunted House It has affected me in relationships, many men give me the creeps, I have never liked to have Men Doctors. It's weird for me to see fathers be too affectionate with their daughters, any man hugging a little girl in a dress for that mater . The only people i have told are friends from my church group. I just kept it to my self, family members don't know. I cry too when I have shared it. Makes me sad to think how many more he did to, because I'm Sure we were not the only ones. Just like I'm sure the person who did it to you also did it to others. Sad to think how many dirty men don't to it to kids or young children in their same Family, Los mismos Abuelos....

At 21 I finally confessed to mom what my dad tried to do to me when I was a child. At 21 I learned that the monster I called my father molested a family member of mine when she was 5, the same age he tried to molest me. My whole world shattered at this news. All that I have suppressed throughout my young life coming to light. I was in 3rd grade when I tried to kill myself for the first time and since then I have suffered from depression. It has been a long journey of self love and forgiveness but the fight isn’t over yet, I still have a long way to go to heal from these wounds. I advise anyone who has dealt with sexual abuse to seek psychiatric help also don’t be ashamed don’t suffer in silence let your voice be heard. Thank you for sharing your story. It’s honestly a shame that the world can be a cruel place. I still have faith in it though and I still live my life to the fullest.

Just watching this in 2020. Julissa you are so strong for telling your story. Thank you for telling it, and raising awareness. It also happened to me, i was 8-9 years old as well. My mom actually saw the one occasion happening to me, she cried with me, she tried to press charges but wouldn’t because she would harm the only person who we have always loved so much! And actually it was 2 of them actually, that molested me. My mom only knows of one but not the other one. And to this day she still does not know, and i have not told anyone. These men are still in my life and i have forgave them, but i will never forget. My daughter will never be trusted with them..

The same exact thing happened to me but it was with my cousin. I was around 6-7 years old and I thought it was a dream but today I realize it’s not. I don’t exactly like talking about it because it scares me. I told someone and they thought I was joking. My parents don’t know, I barely see him nowadays because he lives in another state. It did not mess anything up with me. He was 14-16 then.

Oh my god girl, I’ve had the same experience where I always dream of being in a two story apartment, where it seems I would be babysat at. I see an older lady and she feeds me. She goes upstairs and a man, with a big beard comes downstairs. I’m watching TV and playing with toys and he sits on the couch. He calls me over and I go and he tells me to turn around.. he grabs me.. and well basically grinds me on him. In a very sexual manner. Then when we would hear the lady come down the stairs.. he’d throw me on to the floor as if he had never done anything. I’ve never told my mom this, because I only remember it as a reoccurring dream. But like you say, I feel like I’ve just convinced myself it was a dream. I was so young, around 4/5. And I’ve learned that, an older lady would take care of me when I was that age. And her older son lived with her. I’m scared to tell my mom about it because she always told me if anyone touched me inappropriately to tell her at a young age. I’m almost 22 now and it’s my most hidden secret. . Thanks for sharing your story, we are forever strong. 🖤

This video made me cry. I'm so sorry this happened to you I've been through it also but I was six and he was my "step dad" So I lived with him and it happened more than once. I told my mom about it, about 5 years later when he was out of the picture, it's was like 2013 when I told her and right away she reported it and we're still working on the case, I have to go to trial in June of 2018 and we're putting him in prison. It's honestly so sad and I don't understand why it happened to me or why people do it but I'm staying strong and I hope you are too. I love you!! 😘❤❤

You're so brave for sharing this. No child should have to go through this. People judge me because I'm extremely over protective of my kids and my husband is the same way. I always reassure my girls and tell them they can come to us if anything like this happens and it doesn't matter who the person is. My husband always says that if something like this were to happen that the "person"( i say person because it's men and women doing this to kids) better hope the police catch them first.

This was hard to watch 💔💔💔 my mom was a single mom for a while and different men would come in and out of her life and most of them had bad intentions. Till this day I don’t wear clothes that shows skin cuz and I used to fear older Mexican men. I’ve talked to my parents and I feel more comfortable now in days but it’s definitely traumatizing. Hi Blanca I just found your channel a couple days ago and I had a gut feeling that I should watch this specific video. You are so brave to share awareness because sadly this does happen often to many people like me we stay quiet. When I was in first grade until 3rd grade I was raped by my father along with my other sisters. I am the youngest sister of 5 and we didn’t have a clue that it was happening to all of us because we were being threatened. It wasn’t until later that one of my sister couldn’t take it anymore and she told her counselor in junior high school. My dad did his sentence in jail and got deported back to where I am from. Till this day not a lot of people know our story and many neighbors from where I am from are quick to judge because they think that we abandoned him they don’t know the truth. I had a rough childhood my mom was always working 2 jobs and had to keep food in the table for all her children. Every time I would remember and i would break into tears and sometimes think why it had to happen to me. It took me years to recover from it but i I found God and that’s when my life changed because i learned about forgiveness and that I wasn’t alone because he was suffering with me the whole time that I was suffering . and Long story short I was able to forgive my dad 8 years later and I still pray for him and visit him when I can.
