This was a very interesting video to watch, because I filmed trams in Graz at the same exact locations as you did, in 2019 and 2021. It's fascinating to see the change that has taken place there during the last 30+ years.
Many changes not for the better. I am longing for my older Graz. Now I will look your trams from 2019 and 2021. I was there in 2015 for the last time. Didn't find it. Not edited?
@@sipelpoiss I mean things like destroying historic buildings and building ugly ones instead and calling it progress. Or eliminating old trams for new ones with much fewer seats made of plastic. Many things have become so cheap. I have subscribed, so I won't miss your new editions. 🤗
@@Monitschka I agree, destroying historic buildings unnecessarily just to build new ones, which also don't look beautiful, is sad. I love the old town of Graz and I hope they at least don't change anything there. The old trams were already gone in 2021 (from passenger service), so I'm glad I was able to film them in 2019. Da die Straßenbahn in Graz Normalspur hat, wäre es ein leichtes das Straßenbahnnetz mit dem ÖBB Netz zu verknüpfen. Das würde die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel noch attraktiver machen. In der deutschen Stadt Karlsruhe gibt es das seit über 30 Jahren. Da kommen auf den Straßenbahnlinien die auch auf Eisenbahngleisen fahren Zweisystem-Wagen zum Einsatz die sowohl mit 750V Gleichstrom und 15kV Wechselstrom fahren können. An den Übergangsstellen erfolgt die Umschaltung vollautomatisch.
