Time to start modifying the budget boxster! Our 2001 Porsche Boxster is fully rebuilt after being bought at Copart salvage auction for dirt cheap. After we sell the rare sport seats, we will be in this Porsche for just $500. This is probably the chepaest Porsche in the world. With money left over we decided to straight pipe it! We chose the Fabspeed super cup exhaust and cat-bypass pipes :) It is so loud but sounds so good! What do you all think?

Not a budget car, in my opinion, but the reputation that’s it’s a “poor man’s Porsche” is pretty demeaning. Used, it’s relatively inexpensive and so much enjoyment. I’ve driven many and they are fantastic to drive. Then I got me a manual Cayman S . The 911 is superb but god I love the mid engine.

Hey guys just wanted to say your videos are great and really helped me out through some tough time's. My brother (also named Christian) was killed in a hit and run last year in August and since his passing I've struggled to find joy in my life where as it used to come so easy. He was my only sibling and growing up we had such a love for cars. He was so passionate about them that up until the last minute he was alive he was by helping a fellow Navy Sailor bring home a Mazda Miata that needed some work. He loved driving/working on cars and before he passed he bought and was working on a 2001 Mustang GT. Now the car is mine and as it sits in my driveway it's a daily reminder that I need to restore it back to its former glory. Unfortunately I don't have the tools or the expertise to do an entire engine rebuild/swap but some day soon after I get out of bootcamp for the Navy I'll have the money and the time to finish what he started. Your videos inspire me to continue on with our shared passion and motivate me to finish the Mustang. Keep doing what you guys do!

The desnorkel mod does not increase power! In fact it decreases it due to worse air flow..

I had a Boxster aftermarket exhaust, it gave me a headache at highway cruising speed so I went to the stock and it sounded really good under hard acceleration and hard downshifting in the 40 to 55 mph. range where all the fun happens on the twisties.

Lifelong car guy here. and have owned multiple 944,924s,968,928 and 911 cars years ago when they were all south of $10,K. Have now discovered your channel and you have rekindled my interest in Porsches with your numerous cheap Boxster buys at Copart. With all the talk about IMS bearing problems,.....how have you managed to buy so many from salvage auctions and not have a single IMS bearing issue. Is the issue over blown or are you guys just incredibly lucky? Watching numerous boxster videos of yours, I have never heard mention of the IMS bearing,.....like you are not even concerned about it. Please comment.

Reminds me of my old 99 z3 coupe 2.8 with straight pipes to a supersprint sport exhaust. Super fun car Of course my son had me install a full straight pipe bypass valve which was loud as hell but sounded cool

There are shops that take the stock muffler off, cut the top off, take out the baffles and weld it back together again and it sounds great but you can still drive it on long trips without the droning. Way cheaper i'm told about $150.

I did a cat deleate and exhaust mod on my 3.2 S. It was SO loud that it was embarrassing. I redesigned a custom exhaust system to keep it realistic.

When I was young I worked on the floor......now I can affor a workbench or table at least. .....so much easier to work......the flor is shors of thrid world.... Every thouht of that? Good install....good product and I I love the Boxster. Do you get a check engine light without cats? Curious I have had plenty of CELs on my 2003 Boxster. Keep up the good work.

Well 1:26 one them is a grey lambo and to me it looks like a Gallardo but could be a murci Edit: 5:54 it has a squadra course bumper but it is a Gallardo so it's a lp560-4 coupe edizone technica so the other car is a v10 that means

With these new straight pipes, will it pass a California smog check? I’m still running my stock muffler set up! I’m watching this carefully! Does the entire bumper have to come off to change out the muffler?

I hear no exhaust mods will pass CA smog. I've had my Boxster smogged twice. Both times the tech crawls under the car to look for mods. I think any mod is a fail. Correct me if I'm wrong. I have factory sport exhaust ports but would love more noise.

I used to do the same kind of thing when I was about 8yrs old. Wanted to be noticed. So I put hockey cards on the forks so when you ride it sounded louder flipping in the spokes Hoping to make it sound like a dirt bike. I imagined I was a Cool dirt bike rider. In the end. People laughed at me and I still had a bicycle. The same thing as you’re doing to you!!!! You’re a child in a mans body!!! The only people who think making your car louder by putting a exhaust system to Imamate a fast car is Cool. Are children too!!!

Guys - a shorter intake(& or exhaust) flows air easier & tends to make power - YES - but a flare-less pipe end doesn't flow as great as a flared one... I want y'all to consider having someone 3D print a flare with as large a radius as will fit inside that space, which should improve air flow\power, especially at high RPM... >.> PS: Secret supercars: Audi & Ferrari... Did the same thing a few years ago on my 3.8L Cayman. All I did was drop the secondary cats and muffler. Sounds killer, especially at cold start. I've got a vid with high quality audio of that on here.

5:54 so one of them is a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560/LP550 with a Squadra Corsa rear bumper(look towards the top right corner). So the other one got to be a Lamborghini Huracan,could be a V10 R8 or a BMW E60 M5
