What a interesting little stone , sadly I'm ignorant on jnats , but I really like hand held stones , ideal for transport. Doesn't seem to slurry up like a coticule ? nice visible undercut 😊. I'm lost on jnats . But nice small stones ! Thanks Eric 👌

I'm learning JNAT over the last several months too but mam am I completely lost when it comes to Tomo Nagura, slurry, and all ones and types that are out there.

You can definitely tell that you’ve used smaller stones like koppas because you hone on them effortlessly! Glad to be watching your videos!

I keep a few Koppas, bouts, and a variety of smaller natural stones for travel. Bench stones are the way to go, but not practical to with my work. I also find hand honing increases sensation. I often hone in hand with my larger stones as well. Thanks for watching and happy honing.

@@BigEShavesCounting on the coti video. Wanted to ask. What kind of strop do you like to use when you're travelling? Have a good rest of your weekend

@@borbelyhaz321 I travel with an old shell strop and a Steer/Linen Firehouse strop in made. A strop is easy to pack, but I don’t travel with anything nice. I don’t use pastes, that’s one issue I don’t have to worry about.

Hello. What kind of honing stones are these? What kind of name do they have? mfg

They are both Japanese Natural Stones, the one I started on is a Okudo Suita Kopa, the finishing stone is a Nakayama Kitta Kopa. That is if you believe the stamps, that’s a whole other conversation. Even reliable venders get tricked with fake stamps. What is important is if the stone works, and luckily these work well
