Name suggestions you say? How about Neith (also called Net), who is considered one of the original creators. Alongside other things, she was the goddess of fate, the cosmos, and weaving, which could lend pretty well to a Sphinx cat artist. Oh, and one of her symbols was the ankh.

Maybe Inx? Pronounced like "inks" but taken from the end of "sphinx"? The glowy tattoos makes me think that maybe she has some kind of magic that she can channel through tattoos. Like if she's tattooed someone she can control/influence the limb the tattoo is on, or activating a neck tattoo could choke someone, that kind of thing. Love this animation, too, very clean and crisp. Especially when she pulls her ears back. 👌

This character has the most creative design I’ve seen in the community so far; I’ve legit NEVER seen a sphinx cat as an oc before. That’s a really bold move considering they tend to look like an uncooked rotisserie chicken. Somehow you made her look REALLY pretty, wrinkles and all! That takes some serious talent; I also love the tattoo artist trait. It fits the sphinx cat SO well since well, they have no hair.

Maybe name her Amunet? Amunet is the mythical Egyptian goddess of mystery, and this character seems quite mysterious! Some other fitting Egyptian names are “Akila”, meaning intelligent, “Kamilah” meaning perfection, “Nailah” meaning successful, or “Sanura” which literally means kitten. I definitely think this character deserves a powerful, traditional Egyptian name!

I love that she has Bast tattooed along her knuckles. Especially given her species as bast is always depicted as a strong female feline goddess whom was one of many children, a daughter to Ra, the sun god and all father creator of the world.

I am a nerd for egyptian themes and the like so here are a few of my name suggestions -Stela (Stee-luh) : it's a monument inscribed with hieroglyphs or images. Fitting for a walking work of art. -Nefertiti : Means "beauty has arrived" and is also the name of an egyptian queen -Sekhmet : The eye of Ra given the form of a vengeful lioness. If you look it up, you'll get the full origin story. Just a few of my fave names which I think would suit a sphinx cat all inked out with sick hieroglyphic tattoos

A name idea is Sekhmet because it’s the Egyptian godess of wars name. War is considered a villainous act for whoever is on the other side of it and I figure it would go well with her introduction from the song. Also her being a feline would be a reference to the godesses lion appearance.

This video has helped me accept and embrace my femininity. I never really saw femininity being represented in a powerful light in media growing up, but this has somehow combined everything I love into one video PLUS made me feel comfortable in my own feelings. I know it's just a short video of an animated cat dancing, but every time I feel confident I think of this video and it boosts my confidence even more!

If you are a guy. Like me. There is nothing wrong with being slightly feminine, or liking female things. Or just overall being comfortable with yourself. I don't know how this relates but. I do as a Straight man, call things adorable and cute, out loud in front of people. No embarrassment. I have also seen some Furry art of male characters that I would consider and call hot. No regrets. So, yeah. Be you. Just because you like something, or act a certain way. Does not make you gay or a woman. I know people have done stuff like that before. Like something that might consider them to be gay or feminine. Then transition from that little thing or come out. When in fact no. Personally I think Midas sounds really cool as a name for her (as suggested by other comments) because of the yellow glow for her tattoos, but there’s a lot of other names down here that work too! Also amazing work at just… everything. The animation is awesome( that tail twirl is so good) and the colors and character design are actually perfect. (You never really see sphinx cats as oc‘s and they‘re really cool animals, so this was nice to see)

This absolutely spectacular. The movements are very smooth and the character idea is genius! We need more of this character, who agrees?? Plus the tattoos, clothing design and earings on a sphinx character is very fitting, I can barely draw a sphinx cat!! Me personally find animating movement like this very hard, even if I practiced for two months or more I couldn’t even do an animation like this!! So this amazes me. Name her "Kohl" or an extrapolation of that! It's a black powder, usually antimony sulfide or lead sulfide, used as eye makeup especially in Eastern countries. But it was also used by the ancient Egyptians!

I think you should name her Bastet, after the Egyptian cat goddess. Bastet was also sometimes depicted with rings in her ears or nose, like piercings such as the plugs that your oc is wearing. Plus the oc is a sphinx cat, they were worshipped in Egypt!

while looking up some name ideas, I decided to look into the history/terminology of the art of tattooing to see if I could pull anything from it and found the idea Tisheret, which is the word tattoo in a North African culture. Chernila is the word ink in Russian, which could be spelled Chernilla.

I've seen 40 seconds of this character and I'm already in love. She is so cool wth. Since she is a tattoo artist and is referenced with Egyptian themes in the video, a possible name could be Glyph, short for hieroglyph! Yeah you could. And possibly get in trouble. But I don't know. I think if you were to do so. The nice thing to do would be give the cat some form of anesthetic at the area in which you will tattoo it, so you do not hurt it, as it gets it's tattoo... But us Humans need no such numbing, we are tough! And Dumb! But for the Cat would be nice. Now that I say this out loud. This kinda sounds like it could be some form of animal abuse, and could get in major trouble for it. Well that's what happens when the intrusive thoughts win. And you think bad ideas out loud.

Damn, she's a QT. As for names, what about Bast or Bastet? It's the name of the Egyptian Goddess of Cats. there is also possibly Mao which is Egyptian for the word "cat". it also sounds like "Meow". The last one i can think of is Cleo as in Cleopatra. I think any of these would be pretty good.
