STRAIGHTEN IN 5 MINS?!? | Trying Straightening Brush on Natural Hair 

Girlll. I'm not looking for no bone straight look. I want people to KNOW I got a fro even when my hair is styled. Lol. Really not mad at this brush. I think it will work for someone like me who's not about that super straight life😂

I hate where they put the buttons on these things because you can easily turn it off while using it because the buttons are on the handle.

This would be great for when you want braids or a light blown out look for trimming your hair. It definitely has potential 💕

It's a winner as I see it! I've always like the texlaxed, kinky straight look over the bone straight look. I like the fullness since my hair is way too fine when bone straight.

You are so brave lol I'm lowkey ashamed to say I'm deathly afraid of straightening my hair. Damage avoidance is real lol anyway, I think it looks good though even if it isn't bone straight. I agree with you it's not for 4c kinky hair though unless someone is going for a textured look.

I have fine hair and it looks kind of limp and flat when flat ironed, so something like this would be great for me.

I thought the brush did a pretty good job.

It did what it was gon do. Flat irons are bomb but too much use can be damaging.

Chasing that brush with a flat iron would be bomb and extra straight and would help get the roots but that would be too much heat 🤔

I have a heated brush but I don't use it expecting the same results that I get from my flat iron. I like this to stretch my hair for braiding or other styles, but not for the silky bone straight look.

You’re stretch heatless method is better than this. I have one of those though. They are good for buns and dutch braids.

It is a good idea to use a heat protectant as opposed to oil. You will get the shine and movement, plus the oil fries the hair. It's stiff from the oil. Your hair is lush!!!

Hey , how you could try blow drying first for a straighter look

This would be good to do before a flexi rod set, but I wonder if actually blow drying would put less heat on the hair.

Hot brushes don't give flat iron results. I use mine just for manageability.

If he doesn’t wanna see you with your hair when it’s like at the start of the video then he don’t deserve that finished product!

Thanks for testing this. I'm 4c and might use for quick stretching only. I imagine people with heat damage from this are more inclined to keep brushing through their hair repeatedly like a regular brush. That would be something I would have to be conscious of if using this and remember it is a heat styling tool

I don't need "bone straight" hair. I only perm my hair twice a year, and I usually wear wigs anyway so this would save me a lot of time in straightening/managing my hair in between perms. I actually NEED this !

Yes, I agree, you should have used a blow dryer first, in all fairness. The same as you would when flat ironing. I like all the stuff that comes with that brush though.

Heat damage happens when u over do it. Follow protocol to protect ur hair when using heat. I used mine on my 4c and had no issues other than it did not straighten it, it gave the same results as Kim's! I love that look 😍

I thought about getting ome like this. But i probably wont use it. I only straighten my hair twice a year and thats just to get an accurate clipping of my ends. And my hair has grown ALOT over the past 2 years

I suck at blow drying my hair an I mostly need blowouts when I get my braids and protective styles so I'll be investing in this

I have one but it's more like a comb than a brush, I guess if it's smaller it does a much better job, I also run mine slowly through my hair, it comes out straighter than yours.

As someone with type 4 hair I would definitely blow dry my hair first then use the brush for like super straight results

I only use my straightener brush for when I get my hair braided. I hate to blow dry my hair bc it takes so long and i feel like it's just so much heat so I plat my hair, let it air dry and use my brush to prep my hair for when I go get my hair braided. For this purpose, I love my straightener brush!

This works for me!! i blow dry my hair first, spray heat protectant spray and part in sections. I take each section and tilt my head. This allows me to get closer to the roots. I did this tonight and it took half the time it normally takes me to blow dry/flat iron my hair. I also put it on the highest heat setting.

The temp adjustment had me thinking you was about to get a good straight look 💁🏽‍♀️

I used this one time and had to cut all of my shoulder length hair to an inch because it was all heat damaged. I will be throwing it in the trash! It’s worse than flat irons!!! Stay away!!! And yes, my hair has been natural for 10 years, and now I have to completely start over!!! 😡

I have a 1 step Revlon brush, and it makes my hair super soft and nice. It also makes it kind of straight so I tried out a straightening brush similar to this one I used TYMO after I used the brush and that helped a lot I recommend doing that❤

Tried this on my 4c hair a couple of months ago, it fried my hair. I had to stop after my second parting. I couldn’t do it, felt like I was about to have a heart attack hearing it and looking at it fry. 😵

Hey Hun...I have a straightening brush as well and I'm natural...I get the same result when I use it and I hate that the buttons are on the handle I'm constantly cutting it off on accident or changing the heat volume which is so frustrating 🤦🏾‍♀️

I purchased one of these straightening brushes from Walmart and now I'm able to work with her hair. I think i will blow my hair out first with a blow dryer. Then Go in with the straighten brush and be silky!

I just got a Remington. I got kinky hair. I realized that one had to run the brush through the hair more than one time. The more you brush through, the sleeker the look. I also found out that the brush will not harm your head when going for the roots. You can feel the heat but not a lot. I just put a heat protector spray on my hair, comb through and then use the tool. What you should have done after you had finished was to continually brush through your hair for about 15 more minutes. The longer you brush it, the sleeker the look.

Hair still frizzy and you have a lot of dead ends🥱🤦‍♀️

I have the same brush. I do agree it’s not a sleek look. But I do think it’s good for creating volume if you already have straight hair.

Appreciate the product review it looked legit even know I did feel a little bit uncomfortable once you started going in on the kinkyness of your hair roots as well as the overall end result of your diy hairstyle just because you couldn't deliver that bone straight look that caucasians have it doesn't mean that you failed it just mean that your crown is different therefore for me that was a bummer! Me personally I thought your hair came up great with that method and to back ny observation the fact that you had no issues throwing your hair into a neat bun after that is the evidence that it worked but that's just my personal opinion To summarize don't be so hard on yourself kinky or not your natural hair looks great bone straight is not what black men are attracted to and love about their women there is a reason why god blessed us with hair so strong you know...

This is great!! My hair is natural and fine. So this hair straightener would suit me as it would give it more volume and body. I wouldn't want my hair too straight anyway. I love my natural look. I would only use this for occasional use. This is perfect!!
