For the last year, my number one guitar has been a Strandberg Boden Prog NX 6. In this video, I talk about my experience owning and playing one, and offer my thoughts about the guitar as a whole.
Please keep in mind, this isn't meant to be a review video. I don't talk about all of the specifications, and my opinions shouldn't be taken as gospel about whether or not this guitar would be right for you. Instead, I hope to give my perspective to the wider discussion about these guitars. I'm also not being paid or compensated by any company I mentioned here--all gear was acquired through publicly available listings (and prices).

This randomly came up on my recommended, and I'm quite glad I watched it. This is an amazing quality video for only being your... what? Seventh upload? You seem like a pretty talented person and play guitar very well (at least from my perspective. I've only been playing for about nine months tho so, what do I know?). A very good video and I will be hoping to see your channel grow more. p.s. love the sticker on your speaker.

Thank you for this! I am shopping for my first higher end guitar and am leaning towards this due to having constant wrist and hand pain. Your review was very helpful.

I really liked the song at the beginning! Just a heads up from a fellow creator, for many people that's probably too long and a reason to leave.

So, take the gig bag to a shoe/boot repair shop to get it fixed. Looks like a simple fix. The jam was “totally awesome” and completely enjoyable.

I would get someone that does sewing of bags, gear and equipment to replace the strapping with some heavy duty nylon stuff. Should be cheap. I've fixed straps like this myself just hand sewing with nylon/carpet or boot thread. Good nylon strapping will put last you. Might take an hour or so.

All of my dogs and all of my guitars are black and white…its my favorite color combo. Your dog rocks, and tight playing, my only complaint with the guitar is its blue

Thank you! I think the lighting in my room might be a little off--the guitar is actually grey (or charcoal, I guess). If anything it looks greener in person.

Go to a tailer, they will fix the strap on the bag.

Honestly the best strap locks I have used in my 25+ years of playing are the Ernie Ball ones. I had them on a Korean made Parker P-44 which had the same strap pin problen your Strandberg does and they were very comfortable. As per your gig bag issue I would look heavily into the MONO brand gig bag.

look up dunlop straplocks. i've been using them for 20+ years with no issues. they're smaller, so they won't touch your stomach. my 339'esque guitar has the button on the same place and I have no issues.

Been playing on and off since 1985 (I am nearly 56 now). I love my Charvel Model 1A (the mid-80's single pickup maple fret guitar) and also have a Fender American Strat. This guitar intrigues me. Having met Plini and seeing him live and in a clinic, he stressed how great this guitar is for his playing. I trust my Charvel like no other guitar. I even did scalloping on the fretboard (not your typical scallop job, either). That makes for an incredible amount of control on the higher strings (it's a compound scallop that is less deep as the string gauges increase). I need to go try this to see if I have the same 'control' over the strings. I do not want to scallop a +$2,000 guitar....... Great video, cool song. We should collaborate. Check out my channel.

I love the Charvel stuff, though I've never owned one. Lots of people I've worked with have them. I'd love to chat about collaborating--feel free to reach out through the email listed on my channel!

I considered a Boden for some time, but I ended up going with a Musicman Sabre. Can't say enough how perfect it is for me personally.

I've wanted to play one for awhile, especially the new Rabea sig, but I haven't got the chance. I'm glad you found something perfect for you though--I guess that's maybe an unspoken conclusion in this video

Nice trans sticker! This popped into my recommended and made me curious what an owner's experience is like. I don't think I'll ever go headless, but it was an interesting and enjoyable video nonetheless

Decent video, but way too long. I feel if you cut out repetitions, filler statements, and irrelevancies it could comfortably be half as long. Timestamps for your topics in the video would also go a long way. I'd also recommend putting your promotion at the end, not the beginning, I almost clicked off early because of that. Just some constructive criticism. Good luck with your channel.

Wow. I'm kind of mixed in my thoughts - kinda - but I almost want to ask for your critique of my Ernie Ball Music Man Sabre video, hahaha. This whole RU-vid thing is challenging. I usually get mostly positive comments, but there's the occasional "you used too much reverb/delay/whatever" or the "the sound is overproduced" or whatever. I've learned that you can't please everybody, especially those who haven't put in the time to make their own channels before weighing in, BUT at the same time, honing into that 'sweet spot' requires outside input. Either way, if you get bored, pop by. (Can't believe I'm asking this.) 😅

@@onevoiceincMr @thechickensandwitch comment is pretty solid and accurate. I'd give him a heart for being honest instead of just throwing random chunks of sugar and moving on like most people do when they watch a decent video. Good video, good comment. I wish I could afford that guitar without getting beaten by my wife.

@@ravikant840 oh, I actually meant that. As a content creator, that brutal honesty (in doses) is kinda helpful in honing in one's creation. I have a knack for sarcasm (typically saving it for those who absolutely deserve it), but I was serious with my comment. :)
