I took a trip on a Metroliner to the least used airport in the mainland USA - Alliance, Nebraska, and found a lot more there than a tiny airport.

The man, that gave him a ride is my uncle. He is the wealthiest, but most humble person in town. He helps everyone, no matter the situation. He got 'good vibes' from Mr. Phillips and said this while he cleaned his shotgun. If you ever want to meet the nicest, but most intimidating person in the country, he is it. Glad you enjoyed your stay friend! Don't be a stranger!

I wish more videos like this went viral other than the shit you see on Facebook and TikTok. It's not normally like all that you see on social media. This video shows what it's really like out here. Compassion, home-town friendly feeling. This is true compassion of the American midwest and a wonderful example of what one can expect coming out here. These fellas love their hometown and are always so excited and happy to help out a new comer.

WOW SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGED US! I live in Alliance and let me tell you this place is tiny with very little to do. We have two dollar generals but no large stores like target or anything. If you need clothes or anything you're going to have to drive at least an hour in any direction to get somewhere that sells anything of good quality. The only touristy things weve got is carhenge and the central fountain which you couldnt see because of the snow but it's really nice. While it is small and theres not much to do what lots of people are saying is true - the community is fantastic. Everyone helps everyone and if you're ever down on your luck I know 100% for sure that there will be someone who will help

@@chouseification Western Kansas is chock full of deer. Mostly mule deer but a fair number of white tail as well. The problem was (maybe still is?) so bad, not long ago it was a drawing for any deer tags (bucks), but you could get get multiple doe only tags per year. Western Kansas isn't exactly known for its vast forests. Mostly just wind breaks as a legacy from the dust bowl era. It doesn't take a lot of shelter for deer. What the western plains states do have is LOTS of food readily available. Winter wheat is always a tasty treat for herbivores.

This is true. T-Bone and Pork Chop were engineers on the Burlington Northern. Like father, like son. Biggest thing in Alliance was the railroad, and at least for a while was the largest employer. Alliance got it's name from the fact that it was a junction of railroads from the north, south, and east. Original railroad was the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy (iirc)

@largol33t1
@largol33t1 3 года назад
@@terryboyer1342This is also common in Australia because so many towns there are like this. My father had to take a business trip there to a plant and they sent a guy in an SUV to pick him up at the airport. Because of the huge time difference between Perth and Los Angeles, it was nearly the middle of the night. As they were driving, every so often, my dad heard a loud BANG! and asked his Aussie co worker "What the hell is that?!" He replied very casually "Oh, it's them rabbits, matey. They're bloody everywhere!" Apparently, when the country was being flooded with convicts from the UK, they also inadvertently brought rabbits who sneaked onto the ships. Once released, the Australians learned too late that nothing could be done to stop them. Shooting them didn't do anything (toooo much work!) The local dingos didn't like the taste of rabbits (LOL!). Insecticides and various other poisons had no effect. And worse, they bred like, well, rabbits! The population explosion never calmed down. The only thing they could do was surround their ranches with electrified fencing.
