It was easily the most surprisingly classy thing for him to say he collected. I was braced for something hideously embarrassing, like over-60s Reader's Wives magazines from the '70s, or... (Is a little bit sick into own mouth), Funko Pops figurines... 😫
@@alphagamerwolf1135 If I remember correctly, the origins of Jonk is basically Jake messed up his own name and now they use it to address him when he messes up
as a persian i must say i am surprised and happy Elis had such a hobby love the videos and the snortgiggles XD and kinda small fact about persian rugs: none of them are perfect, as in perfection in Persian culture is reserved only for the divine so to not besmirch the image of divinity all rugs have a wrong thread woven in to be "Not Perfect"
I mean some Persian rugs can go for a really high price, same goes for Afghan rugs, so if he still held on to them today then he could get a pretty good price out of them
@@Blackraven6 some are collectible/one of a kind, so price definitely varies. I agree that they may not sell for much, but every now and then a rare one pops up.
@@greyson2344 true. There might be a sudden rare one, that was accidentally mispriced depending on where he bought it. I wonder were'd he get enough money at the age of 14 to buy it. And who actually sold a carpet to a 14 y.o.
@@Blackraven6 My mind went to it being a present. Which however would raise the question who would give a 14y.o. a persian rug as a present? Besides the fact that i do think those are one of the cooler things you could collect. Even if they might take up a bit more space then say stamps or something.
What makes Ellis's Afghan & Persian Rug (Club?) collection so funny is the buildup. He was so evasive, so defensive right out of the gate... For something that was NOT FUNNY OR INTERESTING AT ALL! Imagine, Ellis, if the interrogation scene in Mass Effect 2 (which I assume you've played since the first time you played the third one trumped your wedding day), Shepard grabs Elias by his collar and shouts "Tell me what I want to hear!" and Elias responds: "I... I... I LISTEN TO GWAR!!!" It wasn't even a harmless yet stereotypical nerd collection like Beanie Babies or YuGiOh cards... It was rugs... I finally get it. I finally get why half the Ellis jokes are "salt" and the other half are "boring". You know how, in the old Atari video games, if you reached 999,999 points, one more point would make reset back to 0? That's what Ellis just did with his rug collection: He became so boring, it reset back to hilarious.
What are you talking about? Collecting Afghan and Persian rugs from the age of 14 is objectively hilarious and even more so in the context of it being Ellis.
Ellis actually collecting persian rugs at the age of 14 is so freaking on brand for him I cannot actually believe it. (It's a pretty cool hobby though!)
0:14 Ellis: "This is really not the day to be pissing Cath off." Jake: "Sorry!" Cath: "JONK!" Cath two seconds later: **Makes the sound of what we assume Pterodactyls sounded like**
i REALLY love the fact that ellis was really defensive over this hobby he had and jake was INTERESTED in learning about it, he wasn't trying to make a jab at it or anything like that he just wanted to know what the hobby was and i found it really sweet that jake was trying to get ellis to tell him what his old hobby was when he was 14 years old and was curious about it. That's how you know EVEN though they're pricks to each other, they actually do care about each other and they treat each other with kindness, i mean.. well.. In a way they care for each other or try to show that they are worried about each other and want to know that they care about each other. I can't put this in to terms without making myself feel like i'm saying something wrong in a way? Sorry everybody..
i friggin love how gabby started wheezing so fkin hard at the fact that ellis was a 14 year old collection persian rugs that she LITERALLY MEOWED like a damn cat like jesus thats some pretty hard wheezing lmao
Every video we find a new progressively weirder thing about Ellis's past and honestly I don't know how we're gonna get weirder than "Collecting Persian Rugs at 14"
I was looking for a Strange Brigade video just because I wanted to see what the game was about and ended up here. This video is hilarious and the banter between you guys is 11/10! Subscribed!
"If there's a game with heads, headshots are a thing" That bandit with twelve arrows sticking out of his skull swinging a great axe at me and forming complete sentence in Skyrim seriously begs to differ!
Came back and just died laughing at Ellis and his Persian rugs... guys its all good, he was fourteen so thats the only high class rug he would get to munch on 😂😂😂
I've watched a lot of RU-vidrs and I have to say that y'all are the wackiest. I start smiling at the beginning and end up almost crying and dying of laughter.
Had a Poo after thanksgiving bout 3 years back. LITERALLY the size of my whole forearm from elbow to fingertips(I'm a stocky 127 kilos). I was on the throne for upwards of 2 hours just sweating bullets and nearly crying. When it finally made it out, I literally had to stand up off the throne because it was too long to fit all the way. It literally rested over the rim as if I had just placed one of those 4.5 kilo ground beef tubes in there. Suffice to say I wasn't sitting down for a while. Thats my best poo tale. Hope you got a laugh.
