On the topic of confrontations with bad bosses and coworkers, there is this older woman at my place that used to be such a huge bitch. Even though we are the same rank, she would act like she was my boss and tell me what to do. This one time, I showed up for work and clocked in before putting my coat away. There was this new rule that came down about a week before that we had to have all our crap put away before clocking, but I was so used to just walking in and putting in my code at the computer that I forgot. This woman walks up to me and is like "You aren't supposed to do that! Didn't you read the email?!" Meanwhile, she's not wearing a mask, which was and still is mandatory at my work, so I immediately clapped back with "You aren't wearing a mask. Did YOU read that email?" The look on her face was priceless. 😆 She had a stroke a few weeks later.

I’m amazed how Pops thinks that interviews and HR still operate like they did in the early 2000s and before. It really isn’t as old-school and impersonal and cutthroat as before. And if it is, then you don’t want to work at those places. A lot has changed and you really only need to be friendly and knowledgeable to get a basic job like this stuff.
