47 minutes of peace and sensibility in a maddening modern world. Thanks for reminding us what our ancestors lives were like before it got all plastic and disposable. Thanks Tom x

PeppieP no argument regarding peace, but literally everything he digs up would have been considered disposable, they wouldn't be there if they weren't.

one suggestion i would make is that i would love to see MORE of the cleaned up artifacts at the end. seeing the plates cleaned and glued back together was awesum. there were several other things i would have enjoyed seeing clean as well. as always, love watching you neck deep in century old poop! kudos on the new channel, looking forward to more.

I would too but I imagine he has tons of glass bottles and plates that haven't been cleaned yet or if they ever will. However, it would be nice to see more detailed photos or videos of the ones that he does show at the end. I would keep watching.

If you ever find yourself in ne Ohio, I have 2 1860s houses, a hotel and saloon and train depot site steps from house. I’m too old to dig them, I wish you could! The neighbor has them surfacing in her back yard sometimes.

The little “pitcher” in the beginning is a cruet. They would use this for oil and vinegar. Maybe they would use one for the vinegar and one for the oil. This is so interesting. Even the bricks can tell you a lot. I learned there are actual brick collectors out there.

Seeing your videos and all these things tells an amazing story. It's also why I love crystals and agates As well, because even rocks can tell a history. And it's just amazing, and it's really amazing. How things can be in the ground for hundreds even millions of years, and there's still in great shape. Thank you for sharing what you do I do enjoy your videos very much.

Wind?....BTW great video! I really like you showing the shots of what the area looks like where you are digging, where buildings were and history about the town/site.
