They are all very cool, but number 12, the T bucket trike is really my favorite. Mind you, some of these look like they may be kinda hard to steer with a set of forks!.
I cannot say I have a favorite. They are all terrific examples of creativity, artistry, and mechanical engineering. I remember a bunch of them from the chopper, and custom bike magazines from the 60s and early 70s. It was a creative time in history for all the lug nuts and rod busters. Nice compilation.
If it were up to the factory, everyone would still be riding Servicars, Harley Davidson and then the Japanese manufacturers took so much from custom builders in the 60s and refined their machines with it. Custom builders have been at the edge of tech engineering since Hot Rodding bikes and cars became a way of life for generations of creatives. Personally, I have always appreciated simple home builds. I’m a pragmatic sort that likes to ride and drive enjoyably. Thanks for the article and the response@@wireeye2003
